2018. Rockets finished 14-13 in league play.

In 2012, UT won the west with a 19-8 conference record.

Great input... so UT has had some baseball success.

Was 2012 the year our SS and C were very good and drafted ??

Unfortunate. UT was starting to move up in the standings to a point where if they collected a few wins this weekend they would have an extremely thin chance of making the last weekends of the year meaningful

After a 12 day lay-off the guys are back in action tomorrow vs WMU @ Scott Park. I sure wish we could get in and watch. I miss UT sports so damn much. This past fall/winter seemed to be lacking without UT sports.

12 days is a long lay-off time in any sport but it may be worst for baseball skills.

After dropping the first two games of a four game series with Western Michigan, the Rockets battle back to win the last two to earn the split. They had to overcome slow starts in both games. In the second of Saturday’s double-header, Toledo fell behind 7-0. The Rockets bats woke up . Layne Schnitz-Paxton earned the win to improve to 5-0 on the season, striking out seven in five innings of work. Final score: 11-10. Sunday’s game saw the Rockets fall behind, this time the Broncos jumped to a 5-0 lead. Behind four homers, the Rockets won 16-9 to improve to 13-12 in MAC play.

Night game tomorrow at Eastern

Nice article in the Blade about the surging Rockets and the beanball fest. Also very nice to read that we have a baseball coach with a half-full approach to our facilities. He feels that in some major respects we have a better facility than BallU. Ball state has no lockers at their field, the baseball offices are in the basketball building and the players dress then drive to the park. Obviously they have a better turf field than Scott Park but he also feels we have the best batting cage facility in the MAC. Good to see someone acknowledge that we might not need all the improvements that we once were lead to believe we so badly needed. They are producing offensively. Go Rockets.

Agree it was a nice article. The Finley Building is nice for softball and baseball. Lockers, offices, sports medicine... Article also stated that UT had more home runs than the #2 and #3 teams in the MAC. Also the worst ERA.

Until a new baseball facility is built, there is nothing to suggest they can maintain the momentum for the foreseeable future. I am not interested in watching UT baseball. UT softball is my better choice.

I guess it does not matter that the Rockets took 3 of 4 games from the falcons and putting 19 runs on the scoreboard today... Well I guess there is always Wright State baseball since you are not interested in watching UT baseball ...

Yes winning 3 out of 4 from bgsucks is really heading in the right direction... I have been adamant about dropping the sport and saving $$ by possibly adding men’s soccer, but this new coach is doing a standup job.
- I really think with the Findley Building in place and an indoor batting/pitching facility, that some cosmetic spruce up, with newer bleachers and field turf, that Scott Park is not all that bad... It is less than five minutes from campus...
Same for Lady Rocket softball...
I would bet this all could be done at a fraction of the cost of relocating...
