Go to the 40 second mark of the hype video posted on Coach Sorrentino's twitter feed and there's a shot of a whiteboard with the weights of several players. Somebody on here probably knows how to post a shot of that. Anyway, it appears that the green column is current weights. Here are a few:
JJ Lippe 312
Cam Mattox 263
Pete Nygra 265
Devonte O'Malley 266
Pierce Oppong 260
Brayden Patton 307
Tyler Pitcel 307
Nolan Potter 310
Matt Schooley 308
Demond Taylor 300
Raishein Thomas 260
Seth Thompson 285
Anthony Vacula 321
Jacob Waskow 275
Jack Wilty 316
Logan Z 316
Also a new name: Dayven Shinhoster, a linebacker from Barrington. Looks like he spent last fall at Nebraska Kearney, then transferred here.

Man those are some BIG DEs. Nygra is light. If he isn’t on the D Line he has a ways to go before he can play on the OL.
Big OLine as well.
Nygra should be finishing his last semester in high school right now. Based on what I've seen with his worth ethic in the weight room, I bet he will turn out like Raishein Thomas and put on a ton of size by next year

Very true. And we don’t need him to play right away. With the size of the guys hammock has on the O line he needs to gain 35lbs...at least. Not an easy task, but like you said he works his butt off so I have no doubt he will do it.
Looking at the size of these guys...have we ever had a bigger team? At least on defense?
DEs both will be 260lbs plus. DTs are both going to be right at 300lbs.
Outside linebackers (I predict Rayner & Rattin) are going to be 6’2-6’3 and like 225-230lbs?
I know Pugh is smaller - but that’s the way the game is going on the middle.
I just can’t remember having this big of a defense that is full of athletes.
I didn’t even touch on the secondary because the corners could be anyone, and we have some big corners.
Hammock is doing it right. The key to football is a solid wall OL. Crucial to protecting the QB and opening up the running lanes. Without a quality OL, it is difficult to move the ball. And no one should know this better than a former RB. I also like how he is beefing up the D. I see great things for the Huskies beginning this year.

Only team that was close in size is ‘16.
Corcoran and Sanders were both 250 DEs
Thomas and Lee both 300 DTs
Folliard, Payton and Jones were 230,225,220 at LB
I'm planning to ride to DeKalb and take notes. Without the full roster I won't know what I'm looking at with so many changes this past year. I'll share my scribbles with this group for those unable to attend.

Go to niuhuskies.com, click on sports, click on football, click on roster, click on # and you will see it in descending order, click on it again and you will see it in ascending order
Thanks. Went to print and it unsorted it. Ug.
Copy/paste to spreadsheet so I can print. Why would the default view for page sorted by number not be sorted?
Anyways I'm good and looking forward to a warm day inside huskie stadium watching football.
Will we have anyone this year that will get pressure on the QB? That seemed to be one of the biggest issues last year. In general, it seemed like the pass rush had been gradually getting worse until the 2-year blip caused by Mr. Sutton Smith.

Hammock always mentions him when talking QBs - and was excited to have him back from injury this past week. He might already be the best passer on the team.
