Kiki Jefferson - Hammon Award watchlist
Kiki Jefferson is on the watchlist for the Becky Hammon Award. This award is given to the mid-major (non-P5) Player of the Year and it's a biggie. It's for guards, IIRC. Here's the list:
Dariauna Lewis, Alabama A&M
Destinee Wells, Belmont
Lexi Fleming, Bowling Green
Gabi Haack, Bradley
Dyaisha Fair, Buffalo
Shaylee Gonzales, BYU
Caitlyn Harper, Cal Baptist
Jasmine Dickey, Delaware
Grace Berg, Drake
Kierstan Bell, FGCU
TK Morehouse, FGCU
Jenson Edwards, High Point
Macee Williams, IUPUI
Ameshya Williams, Jackson St.
Kiki Jefferson, JMU
Akila Smith, Longwood
Megan Walstad, Milwaukee
Brice Calip, Missouri St.
Jasmine Franklin, Missouri St.
Cece Hooks, Ohio
Stephanie Visscher, SFA
Chloe Lamb, S. Dakota
Hannah Sjerven, S.Dakota
Myah Selland, SDSU
It's pretty rarefied company. I've seen at least half of these young women play and the ones I've seen are GOOD, particularly Calip and Sjerven. Kiki will need a good season. But she'll be on the list again next year for sure.

Bad posting etiquette.

Never just list a name. It scares your fellow fans.

Appreciate the intent of the post. Glad she is getting the recognition. That said, Dukester is spot on. I had bad scenarios going through my head.

Some folks think it's bad juju. When I saw the thread title I thought she had been injured or something. Knock on wood she is healthy this year because she is going to have a big year. I have a feeling she could be the conference POY
