RE: Wake Forest
NU beat Wake Forest 14-11 in a wild game as they get a win against the 17th ranked team in the nation.
Cam Schlittler gave NU a solid start (5 IP, 3 H , 3 R , 2 ER, 2 BB, 8 K) with Jared Dupere (3-4 w/ HR, 3 RBI) and Scott Hozlwasser with a hugh grand-slam (5 RBI) in the 7th to give NU a sizable lead.
NU is off until next weekend when they go down to Philly for 3-games vs Villanova.

I'll have to watch one of their games. Actually, I saw a couple of innings of the second WF game but could only take listening to their announcers for two innings.

Yeah, the play-by-play announcer from Saturday wasn't good at all.
I posted the video of Friday's game in this thread.
For a team that had just ONE outdoor practice since January (hitting and workouts in Cabot cage the whole time), then face a Top 20 team to open the season in their bandbox park, filled with 7 home run hitters in the starting lineup, with over 8 pitchers who throw 95+... NU played pretty well!
