Yeah, it's incredible! Being able to land a 1-ton object safely on the surface of another planet over 38 million miles away is pretty impressive. I'm excited for the future of space travel. It's too bad our longevity isn't longer, I'd love to see where humanity goes.
I've been really into the SciFi/Amazon Prime show The Expanse lately. Went through all five seasons in the last few months or so and just started reading the books. It's set in the 24th century when humans have colonized Mars, most of the larger objects in the asteroid belt, and a few moons of Jupiter and Saturn. At the beginning of the show/book series, Earth and Mars are independent nations, while The Belt is administered by corporations based on both planets. However, there's an independence movement brewing among the Belters that starts to flare up pretty early in the series.

Never heard of the series. Thanks for the info. I'll check it out.

Have been a huge fan of The Expanse since the first season. It's vastly different than most other scifi series about the future. Yes, there's drama, references to aliens, etc but what makes it so unique is the attention to detail about how we address lack of gravity, the types of ships that we'd have to have to accomplish colonization and commerce in the solar system, resources, etc. It's truly a remarkable series.
