Remainder of the Season
OK, I'm still astonished the CAA is going to have a weekend with 1 matchup while 4 "healthy" teams sit home. But .... if that's the approach, they may as well fold up shop, cancel games next week and tell everyone to report to JMU on March 6-7

RE: Remainder of the Season
This is called CAA leadership. Its been lacking for some time. It appears, very clearly, the league has told teams to figure it out themselves and teams are cherry picking which games to make up or even try to make up. If teams are not forced to make them up or travel, then most are not being made up. This could have been fixed long ago this season with any type of leadership. As far as playing any more game, sadly, its too late to truly make all the missed ones up and its too late to dictate games must be made up, so I actually agree. Shut everyone down and be healthy and ready to go in Virginia. Require x number of days of negative tests before arriving in Harrisonburg and lets play some ball.

RE: Remainder of the Season
I think Wiz got this right in an earlier thread. The league can't say team A has to travel to team B and play. There have been rare but very serious complications from Covid among young athletes. The league would be opening themselves to lawsuits. What they said to the ADs was probably something like, "If you can keep the kids safe then go for it." So now the ADs are in the same position. Do they want to risk the same thing or play it safe? They play it safe.
Dan, I'm glad to see someone agrees with me that the season should be shut down now so all ten teams can participate in the tourney.

I'm with you guys as well at this point. Not sure if they can, but they should also restrict anyone from playing non-league games as well as that would defeat the entire purpose

If they dont I can already see what will happen. Drexel who has been cleanest all year (No positives throughout the entire season) is going to get their first positive right before the tournament and after losing seemingly every game due to no fault of our own we will end up losing a chance at winning the tournament. So in the sake of "fairness" whatever that truly means, shutting all down now makes the most sense

JMU Drexel game is still on and is now on Friday the 26th. Shutting down also does not somehow guarantee that there won't be Covid issues either.

Agreed. It's all percentages and luck. No shot I would play next week, though, if I was a road team and had the extra risks of travel
