Hung out with Woody Harrelson at the Fox and Hound in Metairie when they were filming that show

My partner signed up for the 7 day free trial of Discovery+

How it's Made
Dirty Jobs
Mythbusters
Good Eats
Chopped
All the Planet Earth / Blue Planet / side series

Only watched a handful of shows so far, but it's been nice to see non-scripted shows that aren't drama-reality or house buying/fixing.

Silicon Valley on HBO is one of my all time favorites. Curb Your Enthusiasm, Veep, Barry, Ted Lasso, Eastbound and Down, Vice Principles and The Righteous Gemstones are also great. EDIT: The Marvelous Miss Maisel on Prime is hilarious too.

HBO probably has the best lineup of original content across all genres.
  • The Wire
  • Deadwood
  • The Sopranos
  • True Detective
  • The Leftovers
  • Big Little Lies
  • Euphoria
  • Succession
  • Westworld
  • Chernobyl (miniseries)
  • Insecure
  • Watchmen
  • Boardwalk Empire
  • The Deuce
  • The Night Of
  • Sharp Objects
  • GOT (1-6)
  • Plus most of the comedies listed above

Someone mentioned The Expanse in another post and it is an amazing sci-fi series.

RE: What are you watching on streaming?
All I have is Philo and Amazon Prime. Basically, I watch whatever interesting videos from my newpipe (youtube alternative) subscriptions. On Amazon Prime, I've been on a Star Trek bender for some reason. Never watched any of it when it was originally on. Finished Next Generation, Deep Space Nine, and now on season 3 of Voyager. On Philo, I watch Battlebots, Oak Island, an occasional episode of American Pickers and various cooking shows my wife likes to watch. I use my brother's Hulu account to watch college football in the fall.

Watched a lot of what's already been mentioned. Currently watching "The Staircase" on Netflix. Based on a murder in Durham NC back in 2003. What is really interesting is it was filmed as if it was being documented at the time of the murder. Interviews, lawyer meetings, the court proceedings, all the backrounds and stories as if they were being filmed at the time.
