Illinois adopts new ‘culturally responsive’ teaching standards

SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (WTVO) – Changes are coming to classrooms in Illinois public schools after a congressional committee voted to approve new “culturally responsive” rules for teachers

The Joint Committee on Administrative Rules voted to approve the Culturally Responsive Teaching and Leading Standards which were passed by the Illinois State Board of Education in December 2020.

The rules claim to promote a more sensitive, inclusive approach to matters of race, gender, and sexual orientation in curriculum.

According to ISBE, the standards support inclusion and equity for students by guiding educators to:

• Self-reflect and gain a deeper understanding of how their life experiences affect their perspectives
• Understand that systems in our society create and reinforce inequities
• Learn from and about their students’ cultures, languages, and learning styles to make instruction more meaningful and relevant to their students’ lives
• Value students’ feedback and leadership
• Support and create opportunities for student advocacy
• Develop relationships with families and the community
• Curate the curriculum to include and represent a wide spectrum of identities
• Ensure the diversity of the student population is represented within the broader learning environment.

Have had 4 fed ex pilots and their families who just built and moved into the hood in the last 6-8 months.

Every single one came from Illinois

Marble Falls is becoming a hot spot for Illinois and Cali refugees. Realtors have the balls to ask if you are a Democrat. If you are, they politely ask if you noticed the giant Trump billboard on the way into town.

Built a house for a couple from Cali who moved to Austin, lived there for 6 months and said they thought they had left California but apparently had not.

Since Bitem wants to limit travelers to Florida Florida should have police in the border and make sure no Libturds get past their borders. And have a sign that only Conservatives are welcome. Ha, ha, pipedream.

Most of Florida enjoyed warm weather while Texas is still digging out of the deep freeze. Had a few thunderstorms and heavy rains our way, but that was about it. Just saying.

Now, for any liberals reading this, stay away from Florida. It's hot, overcrowded, and smells of meth labs and unwashed hookers' buttcracks. Oh, and everything wants to kill you.
