Most exciting player in baseball when healthy. Every other thing he does is history.

Side note: how did I forget Rendon went to the Angels. Great pick up for them.

just a smidge...

What the heck was Maddon thinking there? Left him in at least 1 if not 2 batters too long.

That was on Stassi. Nothing wrong with leaving the kid in there.

Ohtani goes 2-4 today with a SB so I think he's ok.

And loved how trout hit a HR and Ohtani literally waved it goodbye...

I agree. It's a home run derby, so why not keep the ball lively?

Would be the 39th different ballpark in which Pujols has hit a home run in an MLB regular season game, if he hits one in Dunedin. He could make it an even 40 for his career if he also hits one this season in the new Rangers ballpark.

Sammy Sosa has the record; he hit HRs in 45 different ballparks.

actually could get #41 as they also are in that little league game in August (man I hope that game happens this year- always one of my favorites).

Can you imagine if Ohtani got to pitch/hit in that game?

I see Pujols not in the lineup today. That is 3 of the last 5 games he's been out. With Ohtani playing a lot more now and Walsh doing so well- think it's going to be tough for Pujols to remain in there. Will he make it thru May even?

RE: MLB 2021 Thread
Trevor Bauer got busted for messing with baseballs, but there's no chance MLB will do anything. It's just for show.

Manfred has somehow never learned that when you threaten to do something serious and never do it, that just makes you look weak.

https://theathletic.com/2507091/2021/04/...nspection/
Quote:Less than one week into the season, the league’s latest attempted crackdown is being put to the test. And a pitcher who has been perhaps more outspoken than any other on the subject — Dodgers right-hander Trevor Bauer — already is drawing attention.

The umpires in Bauer’s start against the Oakland Athletics on Wednesday collected multiple balls he threw during the game, according to major-league sources. The balls had visible markings and were sticky, and were sent to the league offices for further inspection, the sources said.

Yet, even if the balls Bauer threw are found to have contained foreign substances, it remains to be seen whether the league can prove he was responsible for their application, or whether any punishment imposed by commissioner Rob Manfred would stand.
