Funniest thing about this post - forgot Jawon Hamilton, one of our all conference returners.
Deepest backfield in America!!!

I was very happy with Cig's first year at JMU.
That said, I think on the special teams side we were not near as good on punt returns, and I think we've taken away, or at least way limited, Harry as a run option.
Prior years it seemed more like Harry was reading the defense on each punt much like a QB would do on a run option. Last when Harry punted it really looked like a straight punt.

I hope we have a kicker that can kick it into the endzone this year

F me, when I first looked at the lineup I was like "oh yeah, Hamilton!" ...and then I forgot to include him in the list. Sorry Jawon! Dude is a beast and had some great plays last year. It's just insanity how many great backs we have. If we're not getting creative on multiple-back sets or motioning them out and in then we're not even trying. We could honestly start every snap with an empty backfield and 5 RBs out wide and then motion one or more back. And that would still leave one of them on the bench (not even including Eaton, our other true freshman RB).
And yes, Dukester. While all of our backs have multiple great attributes, I think Palmer is the most complete back that JMU has had in a very long time. I look forward to seeing how he's pushed himself with over a full calendar year since we've seen him on the field.

With:
-Big, experienced OL (listed avg of 6’3.6”/308.2), with four 300+, and the lightest 297), 3 returning starters, 2 All-CAA, 1 AA..
-Up to 6 RBs that may see carries, 4 proven, 3 returning that have started, 2 All CAA..and the best one might not be one of those returning starters..
Should just run, run, and run some more...After all, a great philosopher once said “There’s 3 things that can happen when you pass, and 2 of them ain‘t good.” (Or something like that)..

Back to Mickey ball!
It worked for one NC when Montana couldn’t stop it. Not sure anyone in FCS can stop it now.
I think we’ll still mix things up some to keep opponents off guard, but could see there being a lot less passing this season, and some of those passes being short dump offs to RBs.

Connor Madden. Bridgewater transfer, 6’3 220. Cig says every kick is in or out of the end zone.

I predict 52-10 so that seems spot on.

Week 1 Spring 2021 JMU Football Hosting Morehead State
Will they be playing in ice skates? Hope they get to play, I’m seeing something like 38-10 with Cig pulling the foot off the gas and a BIG rotation of players.
Ice bowl in February, good stuff.

I wonder how much “building a resume” will play a role in this spring season. Seems like we need to smash everyone opponent we can to make no question about the playoffs since there’s a chance we won’t play a single ranked opponent.

Yep, plus for the CAA games all the significant conference tiebreakers come down to point differentials. We need the CAA title for a top seed.
Logically, there should not be any foot off the gas this season, even with backups playing. I'm looking for 60+ every game if its possible.

Even if he puts in our fourth string running back, it's future nfl player latrele Palmer. That is really unbelievable

Well, the NFL and College football did it in the fall. When baseball first returned the first couple game they did not pipe in crowd noise and it was awful. If felt like you were watching practice. They quickly changed. NFL, MLB, NBA, NHL, Australian Open all do it. I'm pretty sure we will as well. Since everyone appears to be doing it, a lot of people must prefer it.
To me I don't really notice it when it's there, but more so notice it when it's not there.
Greg Madia advised on his Podcast this week that there would not be crowd noise in the stadium.
