I was thinking something along the lines of

I have decided to sit back and pull up the MDOTtraffic.com cameras in around my place and sit back and watch the idiots out there.

The Mississippi River bridge cameras at Lula are entertaining.

Well this is the first year I have had a "weather station" (thanks for the Christmas gift, honey...) on my wall, and let me tell you. When it was 7 degrees last night, it was also 79% humidity. I've been in drier climates when it is cold. I will declare for sure it makes a difference just as it does when it is hot outside. If there's any wind at all, the cold cuts like a knife. Blue jeans are NOT recommended!

Yes but the big one I remember most was the late March surprise in ‘68. Snowed for a few days iirc.

Yep, that was an epic winter.

per Daily Memphian--link not working

A problem with low water pressure in Memphis Light, Gas and Water Division’s water grid is prompting a rare boil water alert that the utility expects to issue officially Thursday afternoon, according to MLGW spokeswoman Gale Jones Carson.

How cold is it there?

A couple of night's ago, we got to -13 with a wind chill of -27 in Tulsa.

I remember it very well. Had a date and my car skid off the road about a 1/2 mile from her house so I walked back there and spent the night at her house with her parents approval. Good memories.

The lowest I saw it here was 1 degree a couple of nights ago. Being Memphis, it will be in the 60s this weekend.

Yep, remember both the '63 snow & '68. Was young enough (& not too young) to greatly enjoy both. Great sledding times!

I was, and had to work that night outside in it! Plus it was 14 below zero.

Hard to top that one

I was 8 in 1963 and remember staying inside at Christmas time because of all the snow. My grandmother bought a sled and came to our house and pulled me and my 9 year old sister on the sled behind her car.

The coldest I've seen it here is -60F. We usually have a handful of days at around -40F, but we haven't come close to that yet. The coldest has been -22F so far.
