there are people here on the board who seriously believe that if you don't live in Memphis, or didn't actually attend the UofM, that you are not a Tiger fan....

These people are stupid, myopic and think they're being "cute"

Example A - "Coach A" - it IS possible to live in another community and still be a fan of Memphis, and all the great things it has to offer.

Especially when you grew up in the 901 and made lifelong personal and professional connections that truly have lasted a lifetime!!

Appreciate that my friend. We sometimes forget we are all pulling for the same program, we just have different perspectives and viewpoints on things.

I grew up in Memphis. Left when I was 18 to play college soccer. Lifelong Tiger fan, but didn’t get a scholarship at UofM, another school offered and I took it. Then for graduate school Bama offered a full+++ ride so I took it.

However I did make many trips back for games, even weekday games; that drive from Tuscaloosa to Memphis was familiar for me and the random friends I could drag along with me. My favorite memories were the time we beat Bama in Tuscaloosa and of course the short drive up to Birmingham to watch us smoke the Blazers (my wife’s alma mater) time after time.

I live here because of the workplace it affords me. A few others here do as well. And some who have sons / daughters who post here also.
