Yes. It's been below freezing for 9 consecutive days. The longest I remember and most snow I've ever seen.

Glad y'all aren't on fire...like last year.

no worries. The only fires in my neck of the woods during Winter months are in the chimneys. My neighbor is an exception....she loves to burn her leaves and twigs and is doing so now.

I'm very sorry for this, the whole situation is horrible. Between Trump not wearing masks and all the Democrats and Liberals packing infected seniors into nursing homes, encouraging mass violence, looting, protests and demonstrations in the tens of thousands; many will die unnecessarily.

Meh, most won't suffer much beyond some minor flu like symptoms and the odds of surviving it are pretty damn lopsided in our favor. Get back to me when Mother Nature decides she's had enough of us and spits something at us with opposite survivability percentages. Or would that be the Illuminati?

However, there are some that do suffer much more than flu symptoms. Like Stammers, try a little compassion, unless it's against your idiot mindset. Some day you might be on the receiving end of some news similar to Steves - I hope someone comments "meh, it didn't affect me so, whatever...." to you.

07-coffee3

Don't think I've misplaced my sympathy but also don't think for a minute that my sympathy overshadows my pragmatism and common sense. I feel for anyone who loses a loved one due to any cause but the fact remains that people die every day of something.

I lost my mother a few years back to lung cancer and I miss her terribly but I also know that something was going to eventually end her amazingly long run just like my own run will come to an end one day. I refuse to cower in fear of something that may or may not end me, again because something will get me sure as the sun comes up every morning.

And besides many Native Americans believe that death here is simply the start of our next journey somewhere else. I eagerly await it, not because I don't love my life or because I have a death wish either.

Are there still people around who say they prefer this cold crap to summers here? We're boiling water and the airport has now shutdown. I've been trying to get a followup doctor's appointment all week, but they've been shutdown. My buddy found out the hard way that he had 3 feet of uninsulated pipe running to his hot water heater in the attic.

Give me 90+ degrees any day.

Still better off than Texas. Fortunately, I live in Bartlett who has their own water so I don't have to boil water. Living in Tennessee is also a bonus because there are no rolling blackouts like in surrounding states. Definitely going to be a lot of work for plumbers in the next month.

Absolutely. The buddy with frozen pipes is actually north of Dallas. He's been dealing with rolling blackouts all week.

Again, I'll take Memphis summer every time, to this weather.

Any updates on our team’s status as of today? Is there actual hope we will play the game scheduled next week vs Tulane?

Tons of work for plumbers. Now that people are turning their water back on many are finding out that their tankless water heaters are busted.

Turns out the freeze protection requires power to work and since most of the power outages started at 2am, any water inside of the tankless systems was frozen and internals busted by the time most folks woke up.

Were back today ... per CA. Should be full lineup ... for Tulane on Wednesday.

Apparently someone heard 11 balls bouncing at the Finch this morning. Can't nobody talk about this until the "OFFICIAL ANNOUNCEMENT" which should roll in any minute !!! 07-coffee3

He will not provide link because it didn't happen. He's just repeating the same lies over and over then either not answering or using race card if challenged.

The village idiot is pushing new bill that will give citizenship to 11 million illegals, would outlaw the use of the term alien would send $4 billion to Central and South America.

Check out the bama board?

Classic ‘judge before you know’ post. Pretty typical response here, so thank you.

I will explain:

I lived in Bama when I created this account. I went to grad school there. I actually went to UofM for one summer for under grad prior to that. I did 26 hours there one summer and I loved it.

I can’t believe I have to explain my fandom to some stranger calling me out for a handle I created almost two decades04-rock ago on this board!

But thank you for proving my point with your reply.

No way in any shape or form is this thread really Tiger related but it keeps going here.
