RE: C-USA Announces Rescheduled Men's Basketball Games
Weren’t these originally scheduled to be home games in January, or am I mistaken? What would be the reason for moving the location of the make up games to Denton?

Ignore. I was mistaken.

RE: C-USA Announces Rescheduled Men's Basketball Games
Ok, but what’s gonna be the point of playing these games if UAB runs the table and North Texas is 3 games behind or vice versa? They’re real quick to reschedule this when they refused to make a decision on forcing Rice to make up games on the gridiron until emergency last minute matchup. Let’s just win em and try to help the at-large possibility.

6 road games at La Tech, UTSA, and North Texas could impact at large considerations. And certainly 2 home games vs ODU.
Go Blazers!

I still don’t believe we are competing for an at large at any point. We could potentially improve our seeding if keep winning though.

Go Blazers!

You don't have to worry about UAB at large considerations being impacted. UAB is contending for a regular season championship with the hope that the tourney is cancelled and the regular season champ is awarded the auto bid.

Hypothetically though, if we won all these games all the way to the conference championship and say we lost to a good WKU team, we’d have to be in the conversation right?

I was hoping this would happen. I’m planning to go for the North Texas game & stay out there for the CUSA tournament.

RE: C-USA Announces Rescheduled Men's Basketball Games
Seems like Kennedy thinks we can have an outside shot at an at-large bid if we win 8 of the next 9. That’s so refreshing to hear a coach talk about finishing strong like that rather than trying to squeeze into or just do enough to remain in the top 4-5 of CUSA.

https://omny.fm/shows/3-man-front/andy-k...martin-and

Even if we get ranked, still on the outside looking in. Wasn’t it Murray state a few years ago with close to 30 wins while also being ranked that was forced into the NIT? 2014-15 season, may not have been ranked.

Play like your postseason berth depends on regular season championship, because it does. If it doesn’t come down to that, feel comfortable in the fact that you’ve played back to back series all season and you should be ready for 3-4 games in as many days in the 2nd week of March. Beat bLAh Tech

It would have to be an extremely weak bubble in the scenario you stated above to be in the conversation. No impressive wins and no bad losses is about as vanilla of a resume as you can get.

Dont see us getting in unless we get the auto bid...better teams than us have been left out.

Jon Rothstein@JonRothstein

Conferences must decide by February 26th whether their automatic qualifier for the 2021 NCAA Tournament will be based on the regular season or the conference tournament, per release.

Ask yourself this question if that happens, what is UAB’s best win at that point? If the answer to that is a quality opponent with good CPU numbers, then maybe. My guess is that would likely be a La Tech team that we beat twice in their building at that point. We would have avoided the 2 best teams in the East until the tournament, and only beaten one of them at best. I’d love to find a way where this could work out, but it’s just hard to see. If we somehow go into Ruston and sweep the weekend though, maybe things will look different.

I’d be happy with splitting the series with UL-Ruston

Since CUSA has announced the dates to make up the UNT series, this leads me to believe they are leaning toward the regular season deciding the automatic bid. Totally my opinion, and worth $0.

That article is the same as the Jon Rothstein tweet. I think CUSA has already made up their mind, and will grant the bid to the regular season champ. I wouldn't be shocked if they don't cancel the conference tourney to save a few $$.

This is our last year at The Star. Hope this is the final year of it & don’t have to go out there next year to make it up.
