When you look at it realistically...
Markquis has not been an integral part of our team through most of conference play. He did not play at all in 3 games. He did not start a game, until the first game at TxSt, where he was pulled for the entire second half. So the team has played a ton of conference minutes without him on the court. Of course, the team is 6-6, not what any of us expected. But, my point is that his leaving may not be that disruptive and could be the old "addition by subtraction".

A couple of weeks ago, when looking ahead, I viewed the end of our schedule as "very favorable". We were playing the 2 "bottom feeders" plus ULL at home. But, now ASU is looking much better (they are tied with us) and ULM gave us all we wanted at Stephens without their best player who is now back. Like always, ULL is as talented as anyone, but very unpredictable. If anyone says they have a good idea how we will finish the season, they are lying. To be honest, I am not particularly optimistic. However, I feel like a win in Jonesboro could turn this thing around pretty quickly.

It’s going to come out to how we start these games. In most of the losses we get in like a 15 point hole by the first half or midway through the 2nd. Then we start pressing and get within a field goal before a foul or 1 bucket saves the other team with like a 5 point victory. My point being is let’s stop playing catch up all the time and figure out a way where we can keep up constant defensive pressure and score.
