Last night the wife saw something that stated that the weekends series against Hofstra had been postponed. I checked out the Hoftra athletic site today and the games are indeed postponed. Assuming some sort of Covid issue at Hofstra.

Wonder how they are going to make up even a few of these postponed games. Just not enough time to squeeze more than a few in.

Hope they can maybe reschedule something against W&M or UNCW this weekend.

Game against Towson tomorrow still seems to be on.

what happens if a team has a covid concern days before the CAA tourney? Is the team just s.o.l.?

Wonder if the CAA dudes are trying to schedule something for JMU WBB this weekend? I would think if something was going to happen we would have heard about it by now so I guess no WBB again this weekend. BUmmer.

Would this be hard to envision? JMU wins the first two, and then get's eliminated before the final due to Covid.

It is going to be really interesting watching when we get close to and into the tournament to see how Covid affects everything. I could easily see multiple teams having issues before and during the tournament. Hope I am wrong but we shall see.

I have no idea how the CAA would handle teams with positive cases tournament time. Hopefully they have given that some thought and have some protocols in place.

As of today the Dukes have played 10 conference games due to the additional two games against Elon. They currently have 5 games remaining, one game at home vs UNCW, two games at home vs Delaware and two away games at Drexel. They currently have 5 games listed as postponed, one vs UNCW, the two William and Mary games at home and the two away games at Hofstra. Assuming they do play all 5 remaining games on the schedule that would give them 15 conference games so at least two of the 5 postponed games would not be played since they have 18 conference games max. Wonder which two would be cancelled or if up to all 5 would be cancelled and the Dukes finish the season with 15 conference games. That is what I kinda see happening. Am a bit puzzled why something could not have been scheduled this weekend, guess the logistics just did not line up.
