NMSU want the Zags?
I'm not sure the Zags want NET rated 241 NMSU team. But it would be fun to see how NMSU looks vs #1 Gonzaga.

I don't know if gonzaga really needs to worry much about their net rating anymore.

They aren't going to play New Mexico State. No one thinks they are. But if Gonzaga wants a game they will get a game they want, they aren't going to limit themselves to a choice of 72 teams, nearly all of whom couldn't play even if they wanted because of conference obligations.

Gonzaga scheduled two games against #315 Northwest State earlier this season. I can’t imagine they would refuse to schedule New Mexico State too lowly to add to their schedule.

RE: NMSU want the Zags?
As an NMSU fan, I really don’t want any part of them at this point. We are still figuring things out and trying to mesh a bunch of new guys. If it were to happen, great, but I don’t see how it would actually help either team, other than playing a game rather than staying idle.

GO AGGIES!!!

There is a connection between those two teams with Jordan Potts of NWST from Bothell who's family is tight with some of the coaching staff at Gonzaga and that's how the two games got put on the schedule.

That’s interesting. It seemed like a strange pick up for thecZags.

Thanks for the insight.
