Very big game. Have to find a way to get the W.

Very disturbing quotes from sendy in beacon journal today about not liking effort against akron. If you cant get up and provide maximum effort against your rival on your court with 2nd place on the line that's a HUGE problem. I hope its just coach speak or its that the truth we might as well opt out of the rest of year.

In the first half a lot of the problems from the Akron game looked much better. Effort on defense and rebounding was much improved. Better shot selection around the perimeter (with th exception of Pippen forcing a couple).

Hopefully we can carry that over to the second half.

It's "coach speak", KSU315. Coaches have a list of stock phrases in their brain.

I like how they hit all their free throws. In close games, the team that does better at the free throw line wins most of the time.

Good game. Gave BG some crucial second looks late in the game but didn't cost us. Got some games coming up against the lower half of the league. No free wins in the MAC though. Let's not slip up.

This is how we have to win w/o Nuga. Grit and heart. The defense looked more like a Senderoff team for maybe the first time this year. Loved our adjustments.

Agree GFlash68. Senderoff said that the way to "replace" Nuga is with better defense and protecting the ball better. Still, the 12 turnovers were a bit more than I would like to see. As I mentioned above, they outscored BG by 6 at the line in part by going 12 for 12. That I like a lot.

Impressed by the way the Flashes found a way to win on the road. Congrats to the Flashes on the big road win.

Kudos to the CBS Sports announcing team (Dave Ryan & Bob Wenzel). I thought they did a very good job of announcing the game & appeared to have done some preparation. Actually enjoyed listening to them.

Officiating was very good also. Fortunate to have both Terry Wymer & Bill Ek as part of the crew.

The turnovers the past several games have come from Pippen. Had 5 tonight and 5 in another recent game that I recall. Teammates have to calm him down a bit because he has been doing better than usual with the assists this season. He's the focal point of every defense so some of that Senderoff has to live with. Would like to see better shooting percentage.

If production from O'Neal and Hernandez can become solid and dependable, along with the defense, that would be huge. But overall, getting Hamilton back on track may be the ultimate difference between a short MAC Tournament run and a long one.

Hernandez deserves a big shout out for tonight's performance. He had a bad game against Akron so this was a nice bounce back. His decision making was much better tonight. He passed on several open threes and instead took it inside to collapse the defense. With how he's struggled from three this year that's a big plus if he's going to start doing that. Also, he made one of his two threes tonight!

Biggest mental boost for JH has to be 6-of-6 at the line. That's the real difference in the game. GOOD FOR HIM!!!

QUESTION:
