Lomax should get majority of mins at PG.
Since Deandre became eligible (first game of the conference season) against Tulane, these are the average mins played for the conference season.
Deandre, Lester and Nolley tied at the top for approx 26.5 mins played.
Then DJ at 4th with 23.5 mins and Lomax at 5th with 23 mins played.
Then Cisse is at 6th with approx 19 mins played.
Boogie and Baugh are tied for 7th with approx 16 mins played.
Then Jayden with 12.5 mins played.

IMO Boogie is a better guard than Baugh and Jayden. Jayden shouldn’t average anywhere close to 12.5 mins per game. The problem is not Lomax playing more mins; the problem is giving a decent chunk of mins to a guard who consistently has no impact on the game.

Jayden had 6 minutes in the last game which I think is still too much in a close game. He really just doesn't do anything when he's on the floor. In his last 5 games he's played 50 minutes, scored 12 points on 3-14 shooting and 4-4 from the line, had 5 rebounds, 0 assists, 2 steals and 1 foul. It's just silly to give him 10 plus minutes a game when there are better players that should be playing.

Since he’s been inserted into the starting lineup we’ve started games well.

Yes, they killed all flow which was a major advantage for ECU.

They were THE WORST! I swear they had money on ECU. They were part of every swing of momentum, and never our direction.

The refs called 42 fouls. That seems like overkill.

RE: Boogie?
I want to see 1 game where Coach Penny tells Baugh this is your game to go nuts. Be selfish with your shot selection and try to drive to the bucket aggressively, shoot the open 3s, run the offense through him. It would be nice to see this happen if we ever had a 25+ point lead early on in a game, but I just want to see an offense built around him for a game and see what he is capable of doing with that time. We know he's got the body and we just want to see him be aggressive, assertive, vocal, movement with the ball, movement without the ball...bring back that fire in his belly that was there in the game last year against UT. That player in that game is going places. He seems asleep the majority of the time. I think out of all the guards we have on this team, he could have the most potential, if he just focused and did things on the court with a purpose.

Plus they (and all officials these days) called a lot of the wrong fouls. As in, touch fouls 30 feet away from the basket are called yet muggings are allowed close to the basket.

Baugh has the worst Turnover % rating of anyone on the team, including the walk ons.

Every 100 possessions Baugh is in the game, we turn it over 25 times (or something like that)

It would be exciting. It would also likely be a new record for turnovers in a game.

Really, really bad.
They were also NBA-esque in protecting Gardner. He got whatever call he wanted on O or on D.
Reminded me of AAC refs treatment of Cumberland at Cincy in bygone years. Please tell me that dood is gone.

Baugh is very athletic...But not quick...

He is not ready to drive the bus.

This is almost the worst idea ever. Thank God BIGDTiger thinks Nolley should be our point guard.

To be honest I really haven't seen him turn the ball over any more than the rest of our guards do. I even looked back at the game logs and compared turnovers and to some of the other guards on the team.

Lomax has had 5 games with 3 or more turnovers this season compared to Baugh's 2 games with 3 or more...granted Lomax has seen increased minutes over the last 5 games.

Nolley with 7 games of 3 or more turnovers this season

Boogie with 5 games of 3 or more turnovers this season

Really Quinones has the least turnovers this season, but he just doesn't have the handles or quickness to run point.

Bring me back to at least trying out Baugh and see what he can do for a game or two at the point position.

Baugh's shot has improved greatly--I really like him shooting open corner 3's. He seems more comfortable picking opportunities to drive as well. I'd like to see him decide I'm going to drive in and dunk it, like we saw Carney do his last 1.5 years or Joe Jackson, even did it, his senior year. I think he'll get there. I'm not sure that he will ever be a true point guard, though.
