Best coaching job in America
UAPB basketball coach must have the best job in America. Been there ten years and has a terrible record. I guess they keep him because he’s willing to take all these ass whippings in the money games just to have a job. What will Chris Peterson do, keep him or fire him, and try to improve their basketball program program? Any other program and he’d been fired long ago. Doubt if there is another head coach in the country still employed with a record as bad as his. Quote:

RE: Best coaching job in America
Up until last season (3-15), it looks to me like Coach Ivory has done a pretty good job at UAPB. His conference record, going into last season, was 110-88, and that is the only thing that an AD will look at. Whatever his record is against OOC teams is completely irrelevant since they are almost all on the road against P5 teams. He is only 2-7, in the SWAC, this season- so a similar finish to last season might put him on the hot seat. But, he has probably built up some good will after 11 seasons of pretty good results.
But, you are right. In today's world, he would likely be gone from most places after this season if the team continues to struggle. No idea what Coach Peterson will do.

Having to bow and scrape to AD Peterson as a job requirement might also limit the candidate pool.
