I say he can. I put it that the performance of the team in all aspects of the game the past 3 weeks indicate this to be so.

The discussions above are all about rating his coaching or qualifying his coaching to a lesser or greater degree. But he can coach.

A comedian tells jokes, a guitar player strums and picks, a drummer keeps the beat, Penny coaches. Whether our coach is John Bonham or Neal Pert or Dave Grohl or Jason Bonham or Ringo Starr (yes those drummers are listed in order of skill) isn't for debate. We got a real coach.

Go Tigers (drum roll) Go {crash}!

FIFY. Sorry, you left out the best one...

Pert vs Bonham... I give Pert the nod. I know most sites give it to Bonham, but since I was putting his son (who is towards the bottom of the list); I didn't want to flood the list with Bonham's.

When I was in Toronto, Rush had part ownership of a couple of bars near me and used to hang out in a few little bars in the neighborhood. Neil Peart used to sit in with local bands every now and then unannounced. Technically, unannounced, but I would get word a few hours prior every now and then.

I had the good fortune to meet him and see him perform up close many times. He was a GREAT guy.

Ummm.... I feel like I'm taking crazy pills here. There is no honest, objective person WHO IS A DRUMMER, and has the experience, that will claim that Neil Peart (the correct way to spell his last name) is not the most technically and creatively the best drummer ever on the planet. For a myriad of reasons, not the least of which is his ability to play two different time signatures with his hands and feet simultaneously, and the ability to do it flawlessly. Anyone claiming John Bonham was a better drummer than Neil Peart is probably suffering from nostalgia goggles.

Bonham was thunder. One of a kind.
Peart was technical. He once described playing in Rush as “running a marathon while solving calculus problems”.
Both were great, top of their styles. But very different.

So true. Anyone who has tried to play behind La Villa Strangiato (as an example) knows that to be true.

If only aholes make good coaches, and you think Josh is a good coach... then ...Josh = ?

Maybe he was just a natural ahole!! lol

I am NOT the poster that suggested that Penny should be an A-hole--the poster suggested that Penny needed to be a a-hole to win big---but that Penny wanted to wait a couple years--- I stated that IF NOT BEING a PRICK is preventing him from winning big----then why wait --become a PRICK now.

As for the coach that took us to our last 4 trnys----anyone that thinks he is a a-hole --- well ---I disagree

Ask Trey and Leonard's opinion of him. I assume Leonard Draper knows a whole lot more about basketball than any of us.

Which coach are you speaking of --Penny or Josh ?

Trey played for Josh. Considering Leonard appeared in an episode of ESPN's The Harder Way, I assume he has a high opinion of Penny.

Peart has a drum solo where he plays with Kruppa (UTube). Peart could have play any era. I would have loved to hear him with Miles Davis.

Rimshot

True story! Karen, is a drummer who sang; kinda like Phill Collens but different.

{And in my continuing effort to rep my Memphis pub school education; I will misspell those name too.}

IMO, it's about what comes out of the drum kit more than anything. All 3 were great drummers and had very different and unique styles. If I had to choose who I enjoyed watching the most and the sounds I enjoyed the most, I will always go with Keith Moon. The drumsticks looked like extensions of his hands, and he made everything look so easy.

How much stuff do we accept for success? How much different was Ganong from Gregg Marshall (other than that she won at a higher level)? We fired her because of bullying, didn't we?

The one thing that Keith Moon had over all the others was . . .

SPIRIT!

Allegedly champagne and brandy. Not sure if he drank them together or not.

I thought it was the underage drinking on school sanctioned trips?
