Idaho shouldn't do anything. The Big Sky should have better refs.

Ref wasn’t even looking up, he was adjusting his mask when the kick went through. Not sure how you don’t have a camera angle all the way to the ceiling of the that building.
Just a stupid thing to happen, fortunately Idaho won by 7, so that 3 points didn’t ultimately change the outcome.

In other games that weekend in the SAA, at LR, will be Birmingham Southern v Trinity(San Antonio), Centre(Danville, KY) v Austin(Sherman, TX) and Rhodes(Memphis) v Millsaps(Jackson, MS).

NMSU did survive Dixie State today, so I guess they didn't go winless this year.

RE: Spring season thread
We have our first ESPN2 spring game this weekend. Sunday, March 14 we get Miss Valley St @ Jackson St. It’s an HBCU showdown at 2:00 central. So if you want to see the Primetime coaching show, and see if anything of his gets stolen, tune in.

RE: Spring season thread
Apparently to be on TV for spring football, you have to be coached by Primetime.
Jackson St has been in all the ESPN broadcast spring games, and will be the only one next week.
Did ESPN buy a college football program with their COVID stimulus???

I wish the ncaa would move fcs to the spring and make a deal with ESPN and other networks to televise games. That would leave only P5 and G5 games to be scheduled in the fall and overall would make for more fun games to watch.

RE: Spring season thread
On April 10h we finally get a non-Jackson St FCS game in ESPN, Delaware v Delaware St, but don’t worry, we will still get our weekly Jackson St game against Alabama A&M.
What’s up with ESPN showing every Jackson St game, and no one else??? A HBCU has never received this type of broadcasting, and other then their coach, not sure I understand why the network has focused so hard on them. ESPN has the ability to turn them into a national power by putting them on the network every week. Talk about a recruiting advantage over every other HBCU in the country.

why do you need more than their coach as the reason espn is showing so much love?

I don't know why there's confusion here. ESPN, MLB, and any other corporation will always pick the option that makes them the most money. In this case, it's Deion and Jackson State.

RE: Spring season thread
I get it, would just like to see a full slate of FCS games, instead of Jackson St all the time. Give me options. Give me some Top 25 teams. Let’s see some of those new WAC matchups.
Edit: I do have ESPN+, so not sure why I’m complaining, I can see any game I want......

RE: Spring season thread
FCS playoffs are set with 16 teams starting next weekend. How much spring football have any of you watched???
I watched some of the Bayou Classic this past weekend, Southern came home with the win, and in the Magic City Classic Alabama A&M wins.

I watched about 10 minutes of Northwestern State/Incarnate Word, simply cause I made a degenerate bet on it. Otherwise, none.
Thought maybe a spring season would improve FCS's visibility. But it really hasn't at all from what I can tell.

Yeah, one would think football would be in high demand right now and there would have been a lot of games moved onto linear ESPN channels. Not sure why that didn't happen.

. . . cause it’s FCS, and outside each FCS team’s particular fan base, don’t nobody much care . . .
I mean, ain’t that part of the reason we all went FBS?

Oh for sure. Im just surprised they didnt at least try to push it. I mean how much harm could it have done to test it out for a weekend or two? But to your point I can probably count on one hand how many people I know that were even aware that there was a spring season and still have a few fingers left over.

RE: Spring season thread
FCS championship today, 1:00pm central time. We have Sam Houston State v South Dakota State.
Could be a situation where the new WAC football conference will start with the FCS national champion.
I’ll probably watch a little, before getting bored and moving on to something else.......I have watched much less spring football then I thought I would. I was always in the camp that a pro spring league could work if done properly, but I’m doubting myself on that now. Although, no one really promoted FCS spring football since no one was actually airing the games.
