Sounds like a Malzan/Nutt situation will be brewing

This is exactly what the great fear was when the one-time free transfer rule was proposed. This may alter that proposed rule to a degree before it comes to a vote this spring.

Agreed. I doubt see a lot of downside to this decision, and the upside could be tremendous. At worst, your 100+ passing offense probably finds its way into the top 50.

The downsize are the players already there. Watch the Mitch Mustain Doc and see what the arrival of him and his high school players/coach did to that team with a new v old

Brilliant move. A good FCS QB transfer is one option I hadn't considered. Wish we would look into it.

RE: WKU recruits an offense
Sounds like a 5-7 team with an offense at the bottom made a move to get better. I'm sure that there was some resentment among the existing QB/WRs, but they were not exactly setting the league on fire. That's no different from any year - you have to be better than the other guys in your position group as well as the new recruits. These recruits arrived in an unconventional way, and they do have some advantage due to a pre-existing coaching relationship. OTOH, while their numbers say that have have proved themselves on the field, now they have to do it again against stiffer competition.
As to that transfer list, I wonder how many of those were submitted after the coaching change but before his QB and WR's announced that they were following their coach.
