Broncos Add Seven To Football Program
https://wmubroncos.com/news/2021/2/3/bro...ogram.aspx

Signing day came and went and was a lowkey affair. We flipped one scholarship guy (Nelson) from Army. The others are PWOs I believe.

DT Mason Nelson, Howell, Mich./Howell - 6'3" 310 lbs.
Nelson was originally committed to Army, but I guess we flipped him at the last minute. He also had offers from CMU and Valpo. Big, strong kid. Should be a great asset for the D-line.

WR Elliott Grashuis, Grand Rapids, Mich./South Christian - 6'4" 165 lbs.
Had offers from Davenport and Valpo. Originally committed to Davenport.

WR Cameron Hedgecock, Fort Wayne, Ind./Carroll - 5'11"
Had offers from Valpo and Butler.

TE Blake Bosma, Holland, Mich./West Ottawa - 6'3" 200 lbs.
Hugely productive WR in HS, his size and strength will translate well to the tight end position.
Had offers from Judson, Trine, Valpo, and Presbyterian.

TE Austin Hence, Pickerington, Ohio/Pickerington North/Mercyhurst University - 6'5" 210 lbs.
Transfer from Mercyhurst. Played WR there.
"Father, Jamie Hence, was inducted into the WMU Hall of Fame in 2000 after competing in both track and football as a Bronco. He was an indoor All-American in the 55-meter hurdles and departed the football program fifth in career touchdown catches as a member of WMU's California Bowl team."

OL Caden Peddie, Grandville, Mich./Grandville - 6'4" 270 lbs.
Played DL in HS, and has only played football for 2 years. He joins his brother Gavin, who is a kicker for the Broncos.
Had offers from: Graceland, Trinity International, Mount Union, Saginaw Valley State, Concordia, Lawrence Tech, Davenport, Hope, and CMU (PWO).

LB Cole Johnson, Columbus, Ohio/Pickerington North - 6'0" 220 lbs.
Had offers from Hocking, Glenville State, Wheeling Jesuit, Tabor, Denison, Otterbein, Centre, Lawrence Tech, and West Liberty.

According to his tweet Nelson was already at West Point. Doesn't seem to be listed on their 2020 roster though, and isn't noted as a transfer in the WMU release, so hard to say what exactly happened.
