Football Spring Signing Day
I couldn't find the fall signing thread to pull back up so started this one. I don't know how many teams are planning on signing spring players but so far today the Cajuns have signed nine new H.S. signee's and have announced four new transfers transfers. The new players are below. Sorry about the edits but it was easier than copying all again.
Cameron George 3* 0.8154 OLB Acadiana H.S. Lafayette, LA
George Jackson 3* 0.8521 OT Stephenson H.S. Stone Mountain, GA
Jathan Caldwell 3* 0.8241 TE Dickinson H.S. Dickinson, TX

Based on ratings, this is easily the best class we've had since the 247 era began! If our transfers counted in the team ratings, I think we might break into top 50 category. I don't know how to calculate that, but it would be take including all the other teams transfers as well....a real a ton of work.
Geaux Cajuns!

Dont be surprised if those national class ranking change. 247 still updating all of todays signings. But App will finish 1st in the Sun Belt in total points.

I don't think we will catch you in total points due to the size of the class with 18, but I think we're going to get closer in total points (158.63 is what it looks like) and will be more than a half point higher in average points. It's a tough calculation to figure out though so that's just a guess.

Oh of course it’s all subjective in how you look at it. They sort in terms of overall score. I think I saw UL’s average score was a tad higher but App had a bigger class, so those numbers can easily be skewed.

App. and Louisiana definitely put in work during the off-season. It looks like GS, Coastal and stAte also had solid classes.

stAte
One kid from Arkansas
Several from Alabama
A couple from GA
4 from Texas
Former 4* WR from TCU
Not very many Jucos
Some transfers have multiple years, including the WR from Boise with 4 (not sure how that works)
Freshman WR from Texas has blazing track speed
Yale RB transfer from North Mississippi/Memphis Metro was said to have been the best one in the portal. One year to play. His RB coach @Yale is our WR coach.
Signed 20 still have some to give.
Multiple 3* preferred walk-ons - narrative was that the extra year for Covid shafted some HS seniors
247 unranked TE who played FB one year after being a soccer goalie - he's from London - supposedly we had to hold off bigger schools late. Signed LOI transmitted at 1 AM central/7 AM London time.

No doubt. Less scholarships = less spots for HS seniors. Hopefully that ricochet wasn't terrible. They should've added a certain number of 1 time scholarship expansions for those that were caught in that crossfire. I doubt there was many, but it still sucks for that high school player nonetheless.

We had 8 transfers! 6 from P5 schools, 1 all SBC OL and a QB from Fresno St.

Yep. Not as abnormal for them as it would be for any other conference member.

Kinda looks that way. Bet he feels if he doesn't produce this year he could be on the hot seat.
