New coach they hired last year doing a good job. Have a big strong recruiting class coming in this September. It is a process and one that doesn't come cheap. Lacrosse is one of the fastest growing sports for women at the college level... W&M has had a program longer than many schools that it competes against... seems like they haven't been able to get on solid ground since Coach Halfpenny left in January around 9 years ago to head Notre Dame..

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – The William & Mary lacrosse team's season opener at No. 15 Duke has been rescheduled to Wednesday at 2 p.m. due to inclement weather expected in the area later in the week.

The contest was originally slated for Thursday at 4 p.m.

The game will be broadcast live on the ACC Network, while live stats will be available at GoDuke.com. The broadcast will also be available on the ESPN app to authenticated subscribers.


Nothing like the girls getting evening call to get COVID tested because the game was changed.

Is lacrosse on Flosports?

I don't think this game is ...but if you go on athletic website and click on lacrosse schedule...you can click on "watch" button which will direct you to the platform streaming the game.

Solid game for the Tribe...though they came away with a loss. Gave Richmond a run for their money with the final score 14-11. Peel Hawthorne and a 94' grad called the game.

Need to get more female lacrosse alumni to support the program to help bring it back to the level it once was. Women supporting women!!!!

Nice win against Longwood Saturday. Record now stands at 2-2 with both losses coming against top 20 ranked teams.

Looks like heck of a second half last night. Down 11-5 to Campbell at the half and outscored them 11-1 in the second half to win 16-12!

Way to go!

Very disappointing game for the women's lax team. Losing to a "weak" team from Radford. Team had man advantage going into OT and never doubled the ball after losing the draw. Not the way they wanted head into CAA play. They take on a competitive in Elon next Saturday.

What does "doubling the ball" mean?

I'm assuming he means double-teaming the ball with the extra player. Losing the draw would mean they're on defense.

Just looked at the roster for the team this coming year and it looks like they have a strong and large recruiting class.
