It looks like today’s game is on thankfully. Another 4pm work interrupter tip-off for the Dukes. So get your secretary to hold your calls, reschedule your meetings, and take care of the most important priority which is watching JMU basketball.

Embarrassingly, Elon beat JMU all 3 times last year.
Hunter McIntosh gets most of the attention but I actually like Hunter Woods more as a player who has a unique skillset and is the x-factor. It will be interesting to see if Coach By puts Strickland on McIntosh. If so, I’m putting my money on Strickland to train wreck his game.
Coach By has shortened his rotation and it looks like the team is getting more and more continuity on both ends of the floor.

Elon has been atrocious on offense this year and is soft on the boards so this should be a game that is relatively easier, although there isn’t much separation from top to bottom in this year’s CAA.
Time to get some revenge and keep Elon where they belong...last place.

I know a lot will get discouraged if we lose today, but I know there will be games we expect to win and don't. What will be more important to me, than the loss, will be how we play the following game.

It's nice to be a solid favorite in league play games.

Elon has some quality coaches who recruit pretty well. I know they haven’t been able to hold onto all their great players, but I think it’s disingenuous to pretend like they’re garbage. Oh wait, that’s just what Hart does before every game to raise expectations unreasonably.

Elon always seem like the worst team in the CAA for different reasons (injuries, youth, etc.) but they always seem to beat us, especially from behind the arc. Hope we can lock them down today

Has anyone heard what’s going on with Zac Ervin at Elon? He’s from Gate City VA (played with Mac McClung-if you haven’t heard of him, look up high light tapes or watch Texas Tech)...we offered Ervin out of high school, he ended up choosing Wofford before switching to Elon, averaged 8-9 ppg last year and was really good. He hasn’t played a game this year but don’t see anything about injuries?

It feels like we are rushing a lot and getting a little too excited. Need to settle down a little bit and find a rhythm. Some good defense so far for JMU and good looks on offense that just haven't gone in.
