EA probably timed this announcement to help push NIL rules into place.

They need NIL in order to use actual player names and likenesses in the game, and the game will be far more valuable to them and far more appealing to gamers with real names and likenesses.

Agreed...although, they may make MORE money (due to not needing to pay the players) if they rely on the communities to develop rosters. There was an interview a few years back that made it clear they were working on a way to get this running again one way or another because the exec at EA they were talking to essentially admitted they were leaving $200M in net profit on the table every year by not doing it.

Now all EA needs to do is bring back EA Sports College Basketball, make it just like NCAA football and we are good!!

Dynasty modes were/are the best. They need more to develop them IMO. Naming the players is great, but name the head coaches and coordinators too (heck, if you can do the assistants that would be amazing). Being able to hire away a rising assistant in dynasty would be awesome, as would a lower school hiring a recently fired top-coach. Give ability to improve stadium and resources, with full edits to conference alignment and playoff structure. Create-a-bowl would be cool. As would ability to create own uniforms.

So much potential here. Hope EA does a great job bringing it back (and college basketball).

I have a hunch when all is said and done- they'll be in there...

I'd guess earliest we'll see this is July 2022. Might not happen until 2023.

Wrong. After 4 seasons, all the players are fake anyway. Would it be nice to have real players in it? Sure, but they will all be gone in 1-4 years anyway. Not like pro game dynasties where you’re playing with mostly real players for 10+ years.

I would wager money that gamers would rather have real teams and stadiums over real players. No contest.

Wrong? I stated the same...rely on the community and make more money than you would if you had to pay the guys for their names. Just build the framework that fans of the game have been starving for.

Most of those teams are big enough to sell their own rights...which is why they aren't in the CLC. They'll negotiate on their own, I'm confident they'll have every team.

They had a really robust web-based system called Teambuilder to create teams. I made my own MVFC with it. You could even use Microsoft's folder sharing system to make your computer accessible to your Xbox and have it load in snippets of fight songs and such from your computer if you want to use them for your created team. I hope they bring the customization features they had in 13 and 14 back.

Some hackers from Operation Sports found out that they left the Ivy League, Big West, and WAC in the code, but actually using them would break the scheduling system.

Considering how easy it is to edit players and teams, someone could take a blank slate of players (no NIL concerns) and create the accurate teams for the upcoming year pretty easily.

Just get us the shell for the features...and we'll do the rest.

Yes, it would be better if EA did it uniformly for the real players (pay them their NIL peanuts already!!!), but no necessary.

And the major D3 schools. I want to take my alma mater SUNY Brockport to the Rose Bowl in Dynasty Mode. They would be able to create all CLC schools with football.

If it's Ben Haumiller overseeing development, not only will he put the G5 in, but he'll even go out of his way to cater to their fandoms. He toured all of the campuses and took pictures to render the view from the stadium in the game, and when they left out South Alabama on accident one year, he gave them their own custom intro for home games the next year as an apology. Say what you will about EA, but when Ben Haumiller's running the NCAA series, you have a guy that loves the sport and wants to make it about the pageantry and the fans.

My wife, an NIU grad, was a little dumbstruck when I played a home game with them in 14 and she could point out where her dorm room was in the background. She thought NIU was a crap college and no one would pay that much attention to it.

I would like to see stadium customization options... if you do better in attendance, you can expand your stadium. Make it were it also helps recruiting.
