Tarleton State and Central Arkansas playing a pair of games this spring, we are going to add a tentative pair of games to Tarleton for '22 season against the Bears.

Added the UVU home-and-homes with BYU & Utah following the 2021 baseball schedule announcement; anyone know if the California schools they play the first few weeks of the year feature return games? New Mexico?

Official farewell from Northern Colorado, which leaves the WAC for the Summit

"I want to thank the Western Athletic Conference and Commissioner Jeff Hurd for being great partners for the past eight years. His leadership during our membership has been greatly appreciated. We have been proud of our affiliate membership as a part of WAC baseball," UNC Athletic Director Darren Dunn said in a statement. "I want to also thank the Summit League and Commissioner Tom Douple for welcoming us into the league as an affiliate member. We are looking forward to competing against great competition starting this spring."

This past season, the Bears traveled more than 4,500 miles one way — an average of 912 miles — to its five conference road matchups, including trips to California Baptist and Texas Rio Grande Valley. Both trips clocked in at more than 1,000 miles.

UNC has traveled to Seattle University in previous years, which is almost 1,300 miles from Greeley.

Northern Colorado will travel roughly 4,470 miles one way to its six Summit League opponents, but the trips average 745 miles one way.

Good point, I would find it very hard to believe that they had that many open weekends that late in the summer. I do wonder if the 13-15 May is between the end of the regular season and the conference championships. That seems to be an odd time.

I did not see NMSU listed for the May 13-15, but did see UNM

There seems to be one or two teams who’ve posted new openings in the last week or two including a three game series sought at LSU (that could be fun for someone) and Hartford in the midst of transitioning to D3 looking for games.

For UTRGV they will have a home and home with Texas Longhorns first time since 1971, HBU (Lance Berkman), and Texas A&M CC (Regional Rival).

RIO GRANDE VALLEY – In 1971, Texas came to visit the Rio Grande Valley for the first time, as legacy institution Pan American College took three out of four from the visiting Longhorns.

Pan American later swept Texas in the NCAA District Championships to secure a berth in the College World Series.

Now, for the first time in 51 years, Texas is coming back.

The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) baseball team will host Texas on Tuesday, April 26 at UTRGV Baseball Stadium.
