RE: Ryan Rollins
He can only get better, to include cutting down his turnovers. When was the last time a UT true starting freshman has made such an impact on the team ?

Juice Brown and Marreon Jackson both started as true freshmen, so they are the answer to your question.

RE: Ryan Rollins
I believe Rollins has a better upside than any UT freshman in recent memory. He has POTY potential if he continues to improve. We are lucky to have him, and I hope we can keep him for three more years

Just looked it up only only 6 players in UT history have scored more points as a Freshman than Ryan Rollins has already scored this season. He already has more points than Mareon has as a freshman. 279 points

RE: Ryan Rollins
If Rollins stays around and plays four MORE years for UT (since this year is a freebie) he could end up as the all time leading scorer in school history.

New to the board guys!!! glad to finally be able to reply and start posting! I think Ryan has the potential to be a superstar type player at Toledo and I mean legit nba prospect, the first game I watched him I notice his long arms and said that has to be at least a 6’9 wingspan, but for a freshmen he’s so poised and never seems to get rattled, like every other Toledo fan I’m just glad we got him!!

Just going by ESPNs "Fr" designation, no big contributions in the lower half of the conference.
pts, rb, ast
CMU Aundre Polk 8.4. 6, .4 (Spire grad)
BG Josiah Fulcher 6.6, 3.2, .6 (Lima Sr.
BG Kaden Metheny 9.1, 2.8, 1.5
OU Mark Sears 9.5, 2.5, 3.5
UT Mattia Acunzo 6.3, 3.5, 1.1
UT Ryan Rollins 14.7, 5.6, 2.8

This might be the best potential All-MAC freshman team since 1999: if I'm not mistaken, UT's Justin Hall, BGs Keith McCleod and Kent's Trevor Huffman were on that team. --- and as a side note, Hall was an absolute stud, every bit as good as Rollins, but around the league he was known as Smokey, I guess for a reason. Only lasted for a year.

But, if only for one shot, he will live in Rocket lore forever.

He reminds me of Justin Hall a very promising player who hit the game winner vs OSU at Savage, then Joplin kicked off the team due to academic issues. Or another promising guard, Terry Reynolds. Both players had swagger and great athletism. Neither finished their careers at UT, so here is to hoping for a long and productive career. Rollins from what I've seen is a quiet assassin. IMO a hands down freshman of the year in the MAC. He looks like he's been a starter for 2-3 years.

Both good players but I don’t really think they had the impact that Rollins has had, Toledo is off to its best conference start in years, I don’t think we would be at this point without rollins honestly

Reminds me a bit of Ron Harper his freshman year at Miami. He got a lot stronger by his last year and I think Rollins will too. Rollins is better FF shooter. His step back reminds me of Harper or Phil Lumpkin. Harper has larger, stronger hands.

When they played Miami their home announcer compared Ryan to Harper.
I hope he turns out 3/4 of that. RH was incredible IMO

Jinx thread. Time to nit-pic.
Rollins has been losing his cool on ref calls in the last few games. Shouldn't have changed hair style.

Hope he’s not hitting a wall. Lots of games played as a freshman.
