RE: 2023 ASUN Lacrosse
Yes, lacrosse is awesome. Wish it'd been more popular in the Midwest when I was younger.

When they started a program in '05 (it was D-I from the outset), Bellarmine got a gem of a coach in Jack McGetrick, who'd been national coach of the year at Hartford (I think -- going off memory). The trajectory was good, and the Knight competed pretty well with some "big boys" in a lax-only conference. Cancer sadly took McGetrick in '10, and, frankly, the program hasn't been the same since.

BU seems to have righted the ship somewhat after going through multiple head coaches, and, save for recent bad losses to Mercer and Robert Morris, are having a solid season. The win over Air Force early this month was a great one.

Congrats to JU, by the way. They and Utah are the class of the ASUN this season.

Pretty cool that Bellarmine's attacker Playsted leads D-I in scoring.

Congrats to JU WLAX on their 6th consecutive ASUN title and 9th overall. The title is the first for 1st year HC Tara Singleton who took over from Mindy McCord. McCord left JU last year to start the Women's program at USF. It was nice to see McCord at JU yesterday to support the team, most of which she recruited.
