Next time you get up to Skeegamog, the missus will grill a blackstrap that will taste so good it will make you smack yo mamma. Not gamey at all the way we roll.

And yeah, Bruce...rabbit is glorious when it falls of the bones. The hidden gem in protein. I’m going to try to rotisserie them.

I'd like to try rabbit one of these days. I couldn't raise and butcher them though... they're just too damned cute. 03-weeping

It’s well worth it. Find a local meat rabbit farmer on Craigslist. They will be more than happy to sell you some already prepped and packaged so you don’t have to meet your meat.

The key is not naming them. You name them, they are pets and you are stuck with them for years.

I don't know...my in-laws pasture some mature dairy cows and naming them hasn't been a problem. Of course, when Indy (Independence) and Christmas disappeared this year the kids still had questions 03-lmfao. I'm pretty sure they picked up on it when August showed up last week.

I have had a rabbit casserole. I found the meat very tender and mild, I would eat it again.

We also have a pet rabbit, lol.

Given that you are a drummer, just think of them as bass players who can’t keep time. Then they aren’t so cute!

I prefer wild rabbits. Mom made great hasenpfeffer and grilled rabbit.

Somebody mentioned the dip earlier iirc, but here's some other easy Skyline dishes:
