Interesting survey results.

"...Millennials and Gen Zers wanted abortion limits, with more than seven out of 10 expressing support for less abortion, and almost six out of 10 specifically opposed to Roe v. Wade and Doe v. Bolton when they learn that the latter allows for abortion up to birth, an increase of six percentage points from the 2019 poll (from 51% to 57%.)

Asked directly about reversing Roe to return the issue of abortion to the states, more Millennials and Gen Zers supported doing so than opposed it, by a margin of 44% in favor to 36% opposed with 18% unsure.

Educating these generations on Roe pays off. The number of respondents opposing Roe and Doe nearly doubled after learning more about what the law allows. This number is extraordinary considering Planned Parenthood claims that Roe is popular, with 77% of the American people opposed to reversing it. "

Thats the core of the problem.

The courts have made it so any restrictions are unconstitutional.

This issue is the foundation of the rule by judicial fiat culture we have created

These kids have their own ultrasound pictures.

That is the single most influential development in the abortion arena no matter what any politician may tell you.

People are free to love or loathe Roe depending on their personal view on the issue...but anyone who studies case law knows at their core that it is perhaps one of the silliest pieces of legal fiction drafted in modern jurisprudence.

Coming up with the intended outcome before applying the legal justification and reasoning is in part to blame for why this has been such a mess to manage.

I know the exact moment in our life that my wife and I both switched from staunch pro choice to pro life. Yep, it was when we got the first ultrasound. Sea change. We were not planning (or interested) in having kids and we were certainly not expecting to have a child just 9 months and 3 days after our wedding. lol.

We still have that ultrasound photo and even then you could tell it was our son. It’s impossible to look at an ultrasound and convince yourself that it is not a human being that you brought into existence.

Now imagine your child looking at their own ultrasound. It's a profoundly different self-image than what we knew as kids.
