Does it have anything to do with week 0 rules with the NCAA season? outside of 2020, basically you have to play Hawaii or schedule someone who does, play an fcs team (can it be at a FBS stadium?), or play internationally like the Dublin game.

The game is Week 1. Aug 28th is Week 0.

We’ll be fine. Don’t have to remind everyone of what we overcame @Rice this past season.

Also yesterday, Jacksonville State officially voted to leave the Ohio Valley Conference and begin play in a new conference as early as this fall.

You must not follow college football too closely.

But wow Blazers, JSU at a neutral site? I was shocked to see this. JSU is going get hyped for this one.

If we go into the season with the same QB's and offensive scheme, this schedule has train-wreck written all over it.

you mean if we go into the season with our third string freshman qb due to injury after an off season with no spring ball or normal off season program than yeah

No, I mean if we go into the season with Tyler Johnston, Bryson Lucero, and Dylan Hopkins as our top 3 options at QB. We need better talent at that position.

We also need an offense not stuck in the 1980's.

RE: Opening the season against Jax St in Montgomery.
lucero can pass and run but he seem that he instructed to pass only because he was the only qb when tyler cannot play
the new guy from louisiana may be the starter in couple of year but i think lucero will be better this year
he was a freshman ,,,i saw a lot of freshman from major team look worse then lucero
uab will still run the ball a lot but need to improve on short pass in the middle

We’ve “trainwreck’d” our way to 3 consecutive division titles. It’s been hard to watch.

Tyler Johnston was the starting quarterback in two Conference USA championship games. His team won both of those games. If you say that he didn't play a prominent and positive role on those teams then you weren't paying attention. Yes, he is maddening at times but the guy finds ways to win games. I do wish they'd find an experienced transfer portal QB to join the competition. But if that doesn't happen, I don't agree this will become a train wreck season. I'd bet Lucero will be improved and Hopkins will presumably be healthy. The running back position is loaded and the Blazers have probably the best offensive line group in the conference. I also think receiver could eventually be a strength. Yes, I agree that the scheme needs to evolve. I think they will add some different things but stay with the same basic philosophy - the running game and defense wins games.
