Tarleton crowd should be at no more than half capacity.

Looks more than 1/2 capacity. It might be half capacity, but they are all sitting in groups. The crowd is loud though. CBU has a really good outside hitter. 0-2 CBU is ahead. Fun game to watch. Both teams have had some very nice digs.

Chicago State has a fairly limited roster this year, but I’m excited for their new coach.. Tony Trifonov. He had a heck of a run at Florida A&M, and think he’ll finally turn the volleyball program around. Perhaps not this year but come next year I anticipate noticeable improvement!

CBU wins 0-3. Tarleton made it a game in the 3rd set, but CBU pulled away.

Now I am watching the DSU vs UTRGV. Dixie has a really nice facility. Good production as replays are up before the next serve. Both teams look pretty solid. Dixie up 1-0.

I envy you all. The Big West gave up and cancelled women's volleyball this season. For Hawaii fans that's a killer.

I am grateful they are playing. The games are really a lot of fun to watch. I can not even imagine Hawai'i without volleyball. That would be like Georgia without football.

UTRGV has a good redheaded outside hitter. DSU now up 2-0. UVU now up 2-0 at home over Seattle.

DSU sweeps UTRGV 3-0.

UVU has cheerleaders at the volleyball game? UVU sweeps Seattle.

Did Hawai’i try joining another league just for this year?

RE: 2021 Volleyball
All six teams that played last night are at it again tonight. From what I saw last night, DSU looked the strongest of the 6 teams. That being said, it could simply be that UTRGV was the weakest. But all three games were 3-0 victories. DSU arena looked like the Pan-Am center with similar colors. TSU plays in a gym with fans on one side. UVU had the bleachers pushed back on the side the camera focused on. I think that DSU had at least three cameras working, Tarleton looked to have one, while UVU I think that two.

Good to see teams playing.

Don't know what's happened with UTRGV this year. Volleyball used to be our "best" sport.

There were some fans clamoring for that on social media (including yours truly) but I've seen no indication the UH administration seriously considered or pursued it. Some folks were also pushing playing as an independent but that didn't go anywhere either. It's a shame because based on the team's returning talent and new recruits it was well-positioned for a top 20 ranking, conference championship and NCAA tournament run.

Guess I'll just have to root for NMSU this season.

RE: 2021 Volleyball
I am sorry for those of you who did not watch last season. NMSU then senior Megan Hart was amazing, she is now a grad assistant with the team. 6'5'' and could really move well. I am looking forward, as if you could not tell, to this season. Such a fun sport to watch when it is played well. Such a painful sport to watch when it is not.
