RE: CAA MBB Transfers 2021
With all of the financial difficulties in the athletic department, it would be odd to give out additional scholarships next year.

That's assuming that all the other scholarship players return next year, which seems less than certain at this point. It wouldn't be a huge shock if a scholarship became available. I have zero knowledge regarding any specific player, but who knows?

UNCW 6’7 John Bowen has entered the transfer portal. Grad transfer I believe.

UNCW chat boards says that players that do not fit the new coach system are looking elsewhere. This includes 2 solid starters in Pridgen and Boggs plus two players who did not play much in Dodd Tolefree.

I wonder if we’ll see us playing more money games next year than usual. If so, I hope MBB gets to keep the money.

That transfer portal list on Verbal Commits is massive and will only continue grow.

Saw Tyler Rice's brother Kaiden from the Citadel has entered the grad transfer portal. Quite a coincidence that our coaches have been looking for 6'5 transfer guards that can shoot. Kaiden was one of the top 3 point shooters in America this year.

His coach commented that he is looking to play at a higher level or professional opportunities, and all about finding the right fit.

+1!!!
I mean, it only makes sense.
- Fits a need
- very close knit family, and now a chance to be the real and figurative big brother for Tyler being away from home.
- mom & dad have the chance to watch every game together.
- Not 100% positive, but I feel like Kaiden is a business major and I'm sure a W&M MBA would be attractive

Higher level? Sounds like W&M
Professional Opportunities? Might as well have just said W&M.
Right fit? Need I say more

Does anyone remember if the Fitzgibbons brothers were together during Bobby's senior year with W&M? Then again, maybe I am having a "memory" moment and only think that I remember the younger brother playing for us.

That is affirmative, they were here together.

I thought so, but was not really sure. In any case, that was an entirely different dynamic because big brother was already here, was one of the best players on the team, and was a Senior when his brother joined the team as a recruited Freshman. In the case of the Rice brothers, the older brother might not want to do anything that could possibly cut into his brother's minutes, even though I realize that they play different guard positions.

I'll have to check, but my recollection was that Fitz the younger was here, then Fitz the elder transferred here. MrJ, does that check out?

That's how I remember it. Terry was here first, then Bobby transferred in.
