But damn that Mikey Dixon is a hell of a shooter. I got to hand it to GCUs offense last night. There was a point where they were scoring at will on high percentage shots. And it wasn’t for lacking of defense on NMUSs part. GCU was just out-executing us. Well deserved, hard fought win.

One thing I will say, omg your broadcasters lol Jesus I’ve never heard anyone call a game that animated like they were the DJ at a strip club.

Jim Howell is about the only GCU broadcaster I can stand. Unfortunately, he usually only fills in on the radio side when Potter isn't available. If you've caught any GCU WBB games, you may have heard Howell.

Potter is great on baseball and does a good job calling non-GCU basketball games during the WAC tournament, but he is just too whiny about officiating when he is on GCU games. Scott Williams isn't awful, but Barry ruins the TV broadcasts with his orgasmic calls of otherwise underwhelming plays. Coro is solid in print, but he really doesn't belong on air anywhere.

I take some of what I said back. Scott Williams doing a solid job on the broadcast tonight. Appreciate that he is giving respect to a clearly talented Aggies roster. It's almost like he's trying to balance out Barry's homerism and I'm 100% okay with it.

It's only the truth though. I mean you first get both games vs NMSU at home and then NMSU has about 7-8 weeks taken from them due to COVID. I know you guys don't like to hear the truth. NMSU and GCU is still not a rivalry. It probably will never be a rivalry to be honest even though GCU continues to push it.

Is this what NMSU is going to be this season? A team of floppers? I'm not mad. I'm just disappointed.

I really doubt they're going to allow fans to attend. We need to keep the players safe so we can actually finish the tournament. Plus, COVID is no joke. I've been over COVID for 3 weeks now and still fighting coughing, headaches, and body aches. My oxygen is stuck at 95 and it was 99/100 before COVID. We need to protect the players and coaches.

RE: NMSU vs GCU
Well all I can hope is Rice and Henry get more reps to get more healthy, and get their legs back on offense. And, hopefully Marcus Watson, Gerald Doakes, and possible Mayan Kiir will make a positive impact on the team leading into March. Watson is probably our most athletic players. He presents different problems for defenders being that he is a 6'6, 215-lbs wing.

Not surprised by the outcome, but disappointed by the difference between games 1 and 2. Congrats to GCU they really showed up both nights.

RE: NMSU vs GCU
With the other results in the WAC tonight, GCU is definitely in the driver's seat for the regular season championship. Tonight's wins by Dixie and Tarleton on the road definitely show that they are better teams than the results that happened against GCU. Also feels like CBU is starting to have a GCU like regression that happened at the end of the Majerle era.

One last fun fact for all the Dan Majerle haters: In the last 24 hours, Bryce Drew has as many wins over NMSU as Coach Majerle did in 7 years. COGSCOGSCOGS

Every school in the WAC would had swept NMSU this weekend. NMSU has only practiced 5 days since January 1st. GCU just got the luck of the draw to get NMSU after it got back on the court after three weeks of being in quarantine and of course getting both games at home. Just the lucky draw in my opinion but congrats on the home sweep.

I agree Chicago State Dixie State Tarelton State would have swept NMSU this weekend. No need for your backhand compliments here. Go and sleep it off man.

It's only the truth. NMSU barely returned to the basketball court on Saturday not practicing since January 1st. We had five days to prepare for GCU. Rice and Henry returned to the court on Tuesday. NMSU isn't in game shape nor have we had enough practice and game experience. GCU should had won both games by 25+. But you didn't. March will be different. NMSU will be rolling into Las Vegas.
