Small school rosters
I have watched a good many small school games (NAIA, DII, DIII) since Covid shut everything down. It is interesting.

Point #1: Talent deteriorates much more quickly as you move down the food chain among the big men than among guards. Finding good big men below the D1 level is very unusual, and most of the really good ones are not really big. Furthermore, as you might expect, their functions decline as their their height shrinks. Anything more than setting screens and grabbing rebounds is unusual.

Point #2: You can find a good many shooters at lower levels, but they will lack quickness or will be very small. SWKs are out there in abundance, but there obviously is not much demand for them until you move down the ladder.

Point #3: The top tier DII teams are as good as the bottom tier D1 teams.

Point #4: The teams that cut down on turnovers and eliminate bad shots are sure to be big winners, because those bad habits are very prevalent. Lower level coaches appear to have a real problem getting their kids off the playground (maybe because they never got off it themselves).

Point #5: Really good coaches, of which there are a few floating around at lower levels, make a huge difference immediately, and you can tell right off which teams have those coaches because they play a much better brand of basketball.
