Root ad making it difficult to browse on mobile
Just wanted to point out that on my iPhone SE 2, I'm getting this annoying Root ad on every page with a little car that races around the perimeter of the page. It does not allow me to click on anything unless I click the tiny X in the bottom-right corner of the page to close the ad:

[Image: 142101008_1080622109016210_4100928166024...e=6031BD44]

Don't know if this is something you have control over, but it's making it very difficult to navigate the board in iOS. Thanks!

Same. It has made about 50% of my CSNBBS browsing (by phone) a pain.

Sometimes I can't even close the Root Insurance pop up and have to close out of Chrome on my phone to get back to the site.

I take it this has been addressed? It hasn't popped up tonight for me after being a nuisance the last couple days.

I've sent a link to this thread to my ad integrator. Worst case we can ban the seller.

RE: Root ad making it difficult to browse on mobile
Day 14 of the most annoying ad in the history of annoying ads.
It's dark.
It's cold.
I don't know how much longer I can persevere.
I long for the day that I can once again roam NCAAbbs as a free man, without the threat of surveillance from the little flying car drone.
Woe is me. And death to Root.

My ad integrator disabled adhesion ads on mobile. That should get rid of Root Insurance.

I can’t get rid of it. I hope you’re getting a commission every time I click on their ****. Because I’m clicking it each time it comes up just to make them pay.

I emailed my integrator again.

In unrelated news ... you mean UCF use to officially call themselves the Citronauts? And they went away from that?! That's like the best name ever.

It was the semi-official mascot before the university had sports teams. Unfortunately, no teams ever played with the Citronaut as the mascot. But there’s definitely a portion of the fan base that would love to ditch Knights and go to the Citronauts.

I clicked the “x” and it popped up again before I could do the thing I wanted to do. This is by far the worst ad. I’d rather have an old friend reach out to me only to understand he’s trying to sell me on a MLM gig.

I'll give my ad integration team until the end of today then I'll just disable advertising. I bet that'll get some attention.
