Updated Dixie State's schedule through 2030 with the games listed on FBSchedules.com.

On the schedules when they had games during the traditional "in-conference" window of the season (notably through 2025), I added a note stating, "Schedule listed includes many games announced before formation of WAC; games against WAC opponents that were originally slated indicated with an *".

We know that Dixie State has to get themselves out of the games but until they are confirmed as removed, I would like to keep whatever games they have. It may be a sign of potential opportunities for other WAC teams who can help them get out some of those games. They also have some games already slated against WAC teams, so made sure to note those as they could potentially stay on schedule as is.

NDSU just announced several games - none of which include WAC schools. Of note though is a comment made by a member of the Bison athletic department that is likely what Sam Houston is getting right now too. The school does have future games against Texas A&M (2022) and Rice (2024) but have not played annual FBS games for sometime particularly as the monies have come in via the Battle of the Piney Woods (a payout compared to a FBS game).

We had these dates for WAC schools via Montana State already, but they just rolled out the formal announcements on future scheduling.

NM State will host FIU in 2022, travel to Miami in 2025


LAS CRUCES, N.M. -- The NM State football program has inked a home-and-home series with the FIU Panthers, NM State and FIU announced Wednesday.

The two-game series calls for the Aggies to host FIU on Oct. 1 of 2022 and make the return trip to Miami on Sept. 6, 2025.

NM State and FIU will meet for just the second and third time in program history. The Aggies defeated FIU 56-31 in the lone meeting back in 2004.

With the addition of the home contest with the Panthers, the Aggies 2022 schedule features 12 total contests and six games at Aggie Memorial Stadium (Nevada, Hawaii, Lamar, San Jose State, FIU and New Mexico).

I would not read that into it. However, the chance is probably a little greater than zero. If by some chance they became conference mates again, that would simplify schedule creation.

NAU and SUU have played most years since SUU went DI.

There is a rivalry trophy between the two - The Grand Canyon Trophy

2028 was NAU's first OOC opening - NAU tries to schedule one FCS home, one FCS away and a FBS game a year.

This year we start a home and home (21-22) with Sam Houston State, and finish with South Dakota

2022 start with North Dakota

2023 start a 6 year home and home with Utah Tech

2025 start a four year home and home with UIW.

2028 start a 12 year home and home with SUU

Happening for the same reason we have seen a few of the former SLC schools ink hoops and football deals with SLC schools. I said it when the scheduling thread popped up - the SLC schools would be trading "by plane" non league games for "by bus" non league games due to the travel involved in the WAC.

If NAU ends up in WAC, it'll just fold into the league schedule like what happened with Dixie State aka UTech and a few of the schools they had pre-agreed arrangements with
