Two Raiders in one night. Woodson was a slam dunk and Flores, as you said, long overdue. A great night for Raider Nation!

Which eligible coaches with a ring aren't in yet?

Holmgren (decent case)
Switzer (no, those were Jimmy's players)
Seifert (nope, Walsh's players)

Anyone I'm forgetting?

Coughlin has 2 rings, including denying a team 19-0, so he's a lock to get in. Fisher has MOST LOSES and Goff turned it around as soon as Fisher got canned. He's not a HOF.

RE: NFL 21 Offseason thread
This is as surprising as "water is wet" or "cows eat grass" -- NFL gets even more money from TV outlets.

Thursday night games go to Amazon Prime, and one of the London games in the very early Sunday time slot will air on ESPN+.

Quote:The NFL announced a new set of national television deals Thursday, keeping games on ESPN/ABC, Fox, CBS, NBC, Amazon and NFL Network through the 2033 season.

The agreement keeps Sunday afternoon games on CBS and Fox, Sunday night games on NBC and Monday night games on ESPN, with some games also airing on ABC. For the first time, Amazon will be the exclusive home for Thursday night games, which will also be on over-the-air channels in the competing teams' home markets. NFL Network will also air select games.

ABC picks up two Super Bowls during the deal -- the first in 2026 -- with the other networks airing three each.

ESPN's package adds six games to the network during the season. There will be three Monday night doubleheaders -- with games on ESPN, followed by a game on ABC. There will also be a Saturday doubleheader during the season's final weekend and one Sunday morning game streaming nationally on ESPN+.

ESPN, which has previously aired a wild-card playoff game, will add one game in the divisional round as well.

For the first time, ESPN's Monday Night Football will be able to "flex" games, starting with Week 12 of the season, to ensure better matchups. ESPN's package also includes the ability to include four teams up to two times each.

This is reportedly how the 17-game NFL schedule will be set up for 2021, with AFC teams having 9 home games each and NFC teams having 8 each. In 2022 the NFC teams will be the ones that get 9 home games.

For anyone who isn't a geometry whiz (hah), if this is correct, the 17th games for 2021 will be

NO at TEN, TB at IND, CAR at HOU, ATL at JAX

WAS at BUF, NYG at MIA, DAL at NE, PHI at NYJ

SEA at PIT, LAR at BAL, ARI at CLE, SF at CIN

GB at KC, CHI at LV, MIN at LAC, DET at DEN

That's a pretty intuitive way to figure out everyone's schedule for the upcoming year. I like it!

Also just saw this... so now it's official!

Not sure how I feel about a 17-game season. After watching Hard Knocks over the years, I thought the 4-game pre-season was nice as it let the teams gauge the talent of some of their rookies and undrafted players.

I don't think it's the case, but are they planning on giving teams an extra bye at all?

RE: NFL 21 Offseason thread
Only one bye week. Regular season begins Thursday after Labor Day as in 2020, and ends one week later than last season did.

Quote:The preseason will be reduced from four games to three to maintain compliance with the collective bargaining agreement, which limits the total number of preseason and regular-season games played to 20.

There will remain one bye week per team. The season will begin on Thursday night, Sept. 9 and will end on Jan. 9, 2022. The Pro Bowl will be played on Feb. 6, 2022 at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, and the Super Bowl LVI at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles has been pushed back one week, from Feb. 6 to Feb. 13, 2022.

I don't get why the league won't add a second bye week.

Darnold traded to the Panthers for a 2021 6th round pick, a 2022 2nd rounder and a 2022 4th rounder.

Coughlin, considering how successful he was with Jacksonville, an expansion team, and then two rings with the Giants make me feel he is a lock.

I don't think Fisher makes the cut.

Shanahan and Holmgren.... hmmmm

Drawing a blank on Knox... the coach and the teams

Aaron Rodgers started his 2-week stint on "Jeopardy" tonight. He was pretty good. He has said he'd love the gig full-time.

Carolina didn't give up a ton to try a reclamation project on a 24 year old kid who played on a crap team with a crap coach. He's only on the hook for $4.6M this year and they reportedly will pick up his $18.9M fifth year option. Stretch that over two years and it's about $12M/year --not breaking the payroll bank.

Chuck Knox: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chuck_Knox -- Solid head coaching career that doesn't scream "Hall of Fame".

Coughlin, Mike Shanahan, and Holmgren have a pretty good shot because they have rings.

Schottenheimer and Reeves should make it even without rings, given that the Pro Football Hall of Fame is usually more generous than other pro halls. No-rings coaches like Bud Grant and Marv Levy are in the hall.

Fisher... NFW.

Yeah, I still saw some Panthers fans that are a little upset about losing next year's 2nd rounder, but it still seems like a pretty good deal overall.

Sounds like the Jets are pretty much a lock in for Zach Wilson.
