well gosh. I reckon everyone should just sit down and shut up, right?
This really is gonna be a historic presidency! Thanks for the heads up!

You're welcome. Debate it all you want, but it won't change the problem within the GOP. There are millions of middle class voters that won't continue to prop up the GOP anymore, and it will lead to a shellacking in the mid-terms. When 2022 turns out poorly for Mitch's party, I hope you remember I was the first to predict it.

Canada has 3 parties + a regional one. Britain has at times had 3 competitive parties and now has 4 regional ones.

They are both first past the post systems.

Although — typically — only two parties are seriously contesting any 1 particular seat in the Parliament.

It might work. 70M strong now and will gain as the Dems screw up everything like they always do while the Bush/ McCain/ Romney GOP does nothing. It could very strong on a state level across the south and midwest

Why are trump supporters under the delusion all 70M votes for Trump loved trump? Many of them were votes against Biden and many of the Biden votes were just votes against Trump.

We're a two party system, it's in our DNA, a third party will either destroy one of the existing parties or wither within an election cycle.

The Republican Party has a huge issue, and sadly, those in charge of the party seem to have no clue that they will be losing more seats to democrats in the 2022 midterms.

It is very simple... many Trump supporters lost all faith in the establishment GOP, and have no reason to help McConnell and his stooges in two years. Third party or not, the GOP is on life support and the prognosis is not good. Because the Republican Party leadership will never agree to step down, THERE IS NOTHING THE GOP CAN DO TO STOP THE MID-TERM BEAT-DOWN THAT IS COMING IN 2022.

You have a point on the GOP being "damaged"--except I dont look at it as damaged. Like you, I will never vote for another establishment candidate---but the reality is---I dont think another establishment candidate can ever win the party again. The grass roots is now in complete control of the GOP. There will be some RINO's in swing states, but the GOP is moving away from being a Country Club Party at its core and is moving towards being the Party of the middle class. I think thats a good thing since the middle class is the only major economic group than hasnt really had a serious political voice since Reagan.

We're a two party system, it's in our DNA, a third party will either destroy one of the existing parties or wither within an election cycle.

Parties die when they cease to represent enough people. The Lincoln Project types have been running the Party for years and they have used it to enrich themselves and thier buddies. Beyond that, the Republican Party has been little more than rhetoric since Reagan. It either changes or dies. My guess is the grass roots will take over and Trumpism will be largely what it rallies around.

The reality is--most Americans like the idea of America First, fair trade deals, protecting our borders, bringing jobs back to America, reduced unnecessary regulation, avoiding meddling wars where we have no real intention of winning, and building a strong defense that deters any agreession against us. Honestly---the basics of Trumpism is stuff that every other democracy expects as the very minimum basic governing principals of any leader---yet here those very same basic common sense expectations are somehow controversial to the Hard Left Globalist Press. If you watched Trumps goodbye message---thats the guy we need. IYou get a guy that stays on that message and doesnt get caught up in petty distractions---America will be just fine with that type of leadership taking us in that kind of direction. Had he had been that guy more consistently, he'd be starting his second term regardless of the press hate.

He's got a lot of options here.

The KKK party still exists so why can’t one of those?

You try to keep bringing this up, but it simply isnt true.

more people voted for trump in an uncontested primary in the middle of a pandemic than any other incumbant in history.

even the fake polls confirm he was one of the most popular presidents at the end of his term. Dont believe me? Bring up one of those fake polls and I'll show you how to figure that out.
