You have to wonder how they vote in Tony Romo when he did not play Division 1 football. You could argue that Ealey played mostly against 1-AA level schools, but he didn't lose to any of them. The game was also much different when Romo played in college - nearly 30 years after Ealey left college. So of course his stats would be inflated. I think the argument about Ealey making 1st team with Football News is still the best one to make. They earned their accreditation later on. It's not like they would have to make a huge stretch to allow Ealey in. Mel Long, Sr. is in. Wouldn't it make sense to put the best player from those teams in as well?

Making Playboy's All American Team was good enough for me.

Don’t understand why the CHOF doesn’t get rid of the stupid rule about “when” The Football News counted. For crying out loud, it doesn’t mean 300 new former players will flood the Hall—it just makes a handful of them at least ELIGIBLE...they, like Ealey, would still need to be voted in. What...is...the...freaking...big...deal? Change the antiquated rule.

Ealey not in the CHOF is the biggest load of crap. Who can we direct attention to for changing the antiquated rule?
