nope. Only thing he's done outside of being a player is the 1 year on MNF.

When Tosh Lupoi was an assistant on Sark's staff at Washington, he *allegedly* left $1,500 cash in a coffee cup for a high school coach of a UW recruit, *allegedly* to pay for tutoring to get the recruit academically qualified for college.

Maybe the Tennessee assistants *allegedly* thought McD's bags would be more discreet? 07-coffee3

Not all the surprising. Am I the only one who remembers “The Fulmer Cup” from about a decade ago, the fictitious award given to the program with the most players who run afoul of the law?

No, but Jason's brother, Shawn, is the HS coach where both played under their grandfather, Dave Rider. Shawn was a WR at VT.
Rider, who died three weeks ago, raised Jason and his two brother with his wife was 173-79 in 24 seasons Elizabethtown HS.

A guy with zero head coaching experience, going to a school that is going to be hit with severe NCAA penalties, and fans with inflated expectations. What could go wrong?

Who knew Ray Kroc was a Tennessee Booster? Well no wonder they call them "Happy" meals! It gives a whole new connotation to the "Bag Man" narrative. Oh well, in the age of the transfer portal the To Go Bag makes sense I guess. That said given Tennessee's record they either weren't paying enough or the staff was truly incompetent!

Based on their recent performance, my money's on "incompetent".

Nah, ya missed the meat of the scenario.

Remember they won their first two games, they just ran out of money to incentivize those guys.

Interesting thing to me is the fact that Patrick's source told him that Georgia is getting sloppy too. I just hope the Red Clay Mutts have enough sense to use takeout bags from Weaver D's instead of Mickey D's.

It's all about quality control. Sounds like they hired the same guys that fix the McDonald's ice cream machines.

When Alabama hit rock bottom, we had to bring in an alumnus that no one else would have hired...Mike Shula. Nonetheless, he had at least some experience.

Shula had at least been a coach in the NFL for 15 years prior to getting hired. While he didn't get it done at Alabama the fact that he's been employed steadily ever since shows he is at least a decent position coach. Tennessee couldn't give the job away last time, I can't imagine it will get easier now.

Fake news. I hear they just don't want to bother with making milk shakes so they always pretend they are out.04-cheers

By comparison, Shula was Urban Meyer, Steve Spurrier, and Nick Saban rolled into one...
