I have no idea what to even think about the state of our PG play. Lomax is who he is. He is never going to be a 12-15 ppg scorer but we knew that when he came in. But he should be the solid and dependable ball hawking on defense and ball protection and passer on offense. But he is not. I mean we get a glimpse of it every few games but it is not even close to consistent.

Then you have Boogie. He should be scoring 12-15 ppg with ease. But he seems to be 100% lost on the court at all times. He has absolutely no confidence. He does not drive with authority, he does not shoot like a confident shooter and he just seems to roam aimlessly most of the time.

Alo should be a solid and dependable leader and Boogie should be a consistent playmaker but neither have panned out thus far. I still think there is hope for Boogie but I fully expect him to transfer after this year and in all honestly a change of scenery might be really good for his development.

Posters weren't making a big deal out of it when he chose Gonzaga, but Nembhard would have completely changed our team. He is the one recruit/transfer we couldn't afford to miss.

Andrew Nembhard

I do not recall recruiting him specifically but I do not follow recruiting terribly closely. I think losing Tyler Harris was a massive blow. He was the one player on the roster with a true scorers mentality and who could score us out these droughts by himself.

Losing WHO ?

In the post game he was saying it was because ALo had the ball and Lester was wide open and ALo should have thrown it to Lester but ALo made the wrong decision and threw it to Nolley,

Funny thing is.. the next question was "at the end of a game like this, who do you trust most to have the ball"

I was thinking.. 1. Williams 2. Lester 3. Nolley

Penny answers... ALO!!!!

well, thats why the team sucks. (thats not a knock on ALo, its the fact that Penny doesnt understand his personnel and with a handful of seconds left on the clock and down 1 you want the ball in the guys hand who cant hit a goal to save his unborn childs life)

1. Still herky-jerky with substitutions.
2. Poor use of TO's.
3. No respect from officials. We got out-reffed again (bad foul calls/no-calls, 3-seconds that weren't, jump balls that shouldn't have been, etc.).

TO usage is a philosophy from the NBA of letting the guys control the game. I keep thinking this will improve over time.
He said he was going to shorten the rotation, but he didn't. Of course, we do have a stretch of a lot of games over the next 15 days - so maybe he's trying to preserve legs. Down the stretch, he needs to leave Lance on the bench. And unless Boogie turns it around - I'm REALLY hoping he does - his minutes will need to be limited.
His demeanor just isn't going to get anything from the refs, so that cause is futile.

I agree, Penny does need to learn to work the refs. He doesn't have to be as demonstrative as Calipari, you just need to get your point across. Early and often.
