IKE's really happy on this news, this Dude can get Deep quick
The street told Ike about this Dude a few weeks ago
Abundance of quarterbacks and some good receivers is going open up the run game
TIGERNATION, there is more to come, as u know Ike must continue to lay low but, a BIG TIME transfer
Should be happening soon.
IKE's always working the street

With PWO and transfers, we are looking at around 30 people in this class already.
This is looking like the greatest class in Tigers history and i do not think it is really that close.
If transfers factored into the class ranking we could be close to breaking into the 30s nationally.
3 of the transfers are in the top 10 players rankings in Tigers history.

Just curious---what is the highest ranked class we ever had ?

Haven't found anything close to our .8476 per player average for this year. And do not think the transfers are factored into that average.
As far as avg player ranking, look no further than ‘20 when the avg was .8416 + 1 transfer not included. Best nat’l class ranking was ‘17 when we came in at #56, but 0 transfers. ‘21 is looking at #49 so far, but the six transfers with an avg ranking of .9068 put it way over the top.

He made comments multiple times this year about our "short, but quick, receivers".
Just hope he keeps a good balance, and doesn't totally abandon the smaller speed guys. We've tried that before and it wasn't good (see 20 years without a KO return TD).

True enough.
But we sure seem to get burned by a lot of 6-3+ receivers.

Going THAT long, or even ten years, is an extremely unlikely aberration.
It was the longest such drought in the history of DI football dating back to at least 1950. Even horrible programs can expect a kickoff return once or twice every four or five seasons.
That had nothing to do with talent and simply bad luck.

It had a lot to do with special teams coaching. During that 10 year period the special teams were exceptionally bad also.
Ike can only say there is more great news to come
Relax, TIGERNATION must be patient and let the coaches do their recruiting.
Ike wishes he could tell TIGERNATION what his sources r saying, unfortunately he can't, but Ike can say he is actually giddy about the news he heard from a source today.

Sure there was phenomenally bad luck. But there was absolutely a lack of speed from many of those teams. We weren't successfully recruiting the speed guys. If a HS kid was 5'7" and ran a 4.40, we would opt for the 6'1" WR who ran a 4.80. It was a coaching philosophy. I recall West and Rip both commenting frequently about going after tall receivers. And I remember many of those shorter speed burners leaving town for CUSA and Sun Belt programs and having nice college careers.
It's nice to have height. See Coxie. But we have to have balance.
