I think theres definitely a difference between where we stand now than being the next FCS. We may not have a shot but I'd rather TXST be where we are than have a shot at the if a tree falls down in the forest and no one is around to hear it.... national championship.

There are currently:

130 FBS teams, 4 teams make the playoffs
125 FCS teams, 24 teams make the playoffs
162 DII teams, 28 teams make the playoffs
250 DIII teams, 32 teams make the playoffs

And now there are at least 15 FCS teams positioning themselves to move up to FBS. There will be an expansion of the FBS playoffs, the PAC12 and Big XII will be pushing just as hard as we are in the next contract renewal.

Southwest but not as good as your Grandpa remembers Conference: Tulsa, North Texas, UTA*, Rice, SMU, Texas State, UTSA, UTEP, NMSU

Alright Sun Belt fans, who hates theirs more?

If UCONN, UMASS & Navy are Football Only I don't think the Little East conference has enough full time members to qualify as a conference.

Yeah I didn’t get into the deep inner workings. Mostly for FB purposes only as a joke.

You could just call the “Bulldog and Greenwave worst nightmare conference” the Sun Belt. You know, since you have founding member USA, along with current members Troy, stAte, ULM, LR and ULL, former members LaTech and UAb. The only two without ties to the SBC are Tulane and USM.
