There are slaves all over the world... So yeah plenty of people are born into slavery now and plenty of slave owners now.. Just nothing we (as Americans) are responsible for.
Correct. Im of course referring to only slaves in the US that were part of a system of legal slavery sanctioned by the US government until the Civil War.
