Yes. A large increase in the supply of unskilled low end labor should be just whats needed to rapidly increase the employment opportunities and wages for the poorest Americans. Frankly, we aren't having kids in order to support population growth. The US population pyramid is stagnating. Fresh blood and more babies are needed before we end up like Canada or Germany. Just be thankful that we are bringing in people with similar values as our own unlike Europe.

Which means that if republicans had any sense they could turn the blue collar voting block over to their side. But having sense about politics is what they don't do.

Deport illegals and make them come back legally - after a 5 year waiting period. Build 40-50 nuclear power plants across the country. Export as much oil as possible. Develop and partner with central and south america to expand US influence and raise their standards of living so their citizens want to stay home.

Do that and US birth rates will rise.

I think “the blue collar voting block” already has turned to the GOP to a very significant degree. To the extent that it hasn’t — well, it’s not just political parties that need to have sense. It really is up to individual voters to have some, too.

US births will not increase solely because the millennials can't even support themselves how do we expect them to make babies and support them. Besides, they're too busy playing with their video games and going full nutty phase. It's more satisfying living off mom and dad and sometimes with the governments help, like my BIL used to do until he died.

Nothing against immigration, nor massive immigration. But we need a targeted and colorblind immigration system.
