NU heads down to South Carolina to face Charleston for two games this weekend.

I'll take a split of this one. If NU ever won both it would do wonders for their confidence.

I agree. A split would still leave us with a cushion, especially with Hofstra's loss yesterday....and with our Hofstra and CoC games in the rear view mirror

It was certainly a grind but we got the win and move on to Sunday,

Btw, that was one of the worst online feeds I had to sit through to watch a game.

Just a piss poor feed. Frustrating.

RE: CofC
Stream was simply awful!

It's always a bit of a rock fight vs CofC but our defense held up. I thought Strong gave us a good boost in the 1st half and Chris really helped with energy and rebounding, especially in the 2nd

Shaq and Tyson were good throughout

Nice get today by the guys and composure was good even when things were frustrating.... really frustrating. What the heck, let's get both now!

RE: CofC
Second FLO game I've watched....second lousy feed. Hardly ever happened before Flo. It's like some amateurs got together, bought some used equipment and started a service. Took all the fun out of watching the game.

Either team could have won it with a couple of minutes to go but I'll say this...our collars haven't tightened up in crunch time so far this season as it has in some years past. And you never know who is going to make the winning play. Today it was Walters. Last game it was Walker. In one of the Elon games it was Telfort. They don't play like a bunch of underclassmen when the game is on the line.

Great to see Doherty back playing. I think he'll be shooting extra free throws this week, though. He really has a nose for the ball.

RE: CofC
Doherty was a difference-maker on the boards today. If he made most of his free throws we win this one going away.

So glad we got the first one.

Coen said that they didn't want Tucker to get going early "but we didn't do that great a job of that." I didn't get to see the first five minutes of the game so I wanted to watch the replay but there is no replay (probably because it would be too embarassing for FLO to put it up.) Anyway, Stucke was on him when I finally got the feed and he wasn't able to stay with Tucker. I wonder is coach will try someone else on him.

There is a replay. I watched it late Saturday night.

Stucke was having trouble with the guards quickness, which is why Coen brought in Hadley for a bit.

I hope the guys aren't expecting Charleston to shoot that badly in the second half.

We are going to get a punch from them to start. Like Hofstra last week. Let's be ready

They may break the school record for points in a half (leftover joke from the 1st Hofstra game)

Ditto. Nice to see we can win when Walker has a sub par shooting game.

Charleston shot in the low to mid sixties from three and overall in the second half but we chipped away and it didnt hurt that their shots stopped falling late in the game.

I thought our depth helped us today. Eight guys got high double digit minutes and only two played more than thirty.

Now we get some home cookin.

RE: CofC
I thought the same thing about winning against a good team without getting Walker's best game

We gave them a few open looks early in the 2nd half and then it seemed like the faucet was turned on. Thankfully, they missed a few late and we had a few nice defensive stands

Good to be building these positive experiences for a young group. On weekend 1, Elon hit us with a mini-run in the 2nd half of game 2 and we withstood it. The next weekend, coming back from down 17 at Hofstra and then taking a big shot from them in game two. And now winning two tight games at the Charleston, one (today) after taking a haymaker

I haven't seen the whole league but we seem to have the most depth by far in the league. Of course, Walker is the one we couldn't afford to lose in addition to maybe Shaq

Best coach in CAA won both games in last 3 minutes. Your players had to execute but he knows how to get it out of them in close games

It's the polar opposite of last year where we lost six league games by a total of twelve points.
